Byrd's Famous Cookies - Plant Riverside — Local services in Savannah

There is no way I’m visiting Savannah and not stopping at Byrd’s Famous Cookies. This visit I stopped at the location on River Street. I love that the company is still allowing customers to sample all of their famous flavors. I sampled a few cookies, you just tell an employee which cookie/s you would like to sample and they use tongs to get them from a jar and put it in your palm.

The service was excellent, we were greeted as soon as we entered the store and everyone was pretty happy and wearing lovely smiles.

This location has cookies, favorite gifts, and gourmet foods and they are open 7 days a week.

Visiting Savannah for the day and after a long day had a taste for cookies out of all the desserts a friend and I went here. So yes they provide samples but the person over the samples must have been tired because sh me was not that happy. I was confused with how to purchase but I did like the chocolate chip and salted caramel cookies. I chose to do the pick box where you can mix up the kinds you wanted so it was not the best experience although understaffed maybe the purchase portion needs to be explained or indicated better for new customers. MUST Go! There are a lot of small cute places here in Savannah. Regardless o is you are a local or just stopping through. BYRD’S is full of everything you want in a little riverfront bakery.

Can we talk about the Key Lime Cooler cookies though. There is a reason these have been selling like crazy for 32 years. Even if you don’t buy anything. Go to their cookie bar and sample some amazing craft cookies. I didn’t even count the flavors but it had to be 10+ different original flavors.
