Forest Chase Branch Arrived to a 'please wait to be seated' sign, so we waited, then a young girl bored-ly gave us menus, told us where to order from and where to pick up and to sit where-ever. So we sat at an empty table for 2, chose what we wanted and ordered 1 at a time (but 1 straight after the other) When my buzzer went off, I went to collect my food and oh no! I completely forgot to order fries! The lady at the till did no up selling, which would've promptly reminded me that I did want fries, but no biggie, it was my own fault. I went to the queue to order fries but ended up stuck behind 2 big orders from a family. No worries, even if my burger went a little cold, it'd still be delicious. Strangely enough, during the 10- 15 minutes my friends burger wasn't ready yet. I figured by the time hers was done, my fries would also be done as that's a quick order to pump out. Nope. Friends food was ready so I picked it up, she said that her burger was cold but didn't want to say anything as it had already taken nearly 40 minutes to come out the 1st time. She was almost finished with her meal by the time my buzzer went off for just a portion of regular fries. At least they were hot! Luckily my burger was still warm too, and despite the waiting, I will say that it was absolutely delicious. No check back though until we were both long finished. They then asked me to leave a review, so here I am, but didn't say how or where to do so. Google it is.
Lots of staff lacking customer service experience unfortunately brings the reputation down for us, we won't be rushing back but won't be put off...
Read morethis is my first time trying betty’s burgers! as it’s been super positively recommended by people i know, i’ve been super happy to try it out — and it did not disappoint!!
i chose the classic burger with a side of french fries. and wow. the burger was perfect. the bun somehow had a perfect crisp to it — so there was a crunch in every bite! and it was so flavorful with the special sauce and patty. the fries were also nice and crispy with good salt.
one setback was that i did not know that sauce was not complimentary — it was $1 for just a relatively small amount of tomato sauce, and $2 for their special sauce!! i’ve been accustomed to fast food places providing sauce packets for free so it was a shock.
nevertheless, a staff named Addison was really helpful and nice. i asked her if we had to pay for the sauce separately and she affirmed it. the line was super long so i felt hesitant to do so, but she kindly suggested to just order and pay it with her and she’d bring it for me, which was so convenient. also the service was just overall great bc earlier when i was ordering there was a complication with my cashier and she had to leave to deal with it, but i didn’t have to wait for long because another staff quickly came to cover for her and take my order.
in my opinion the prices for the sauce were a bit too high, but nonetheless, the special sauce was truly delicious — just as the burger was.
heads up, there’s access to toilets which are very clean and nice but it’s a bit sketchy as it’s in the “basement” a level below and is quite deserted - so...
Read moreMy husband and I went to the Forrest Chase diner for lunch last weekend. It was busy and we were asked to wait for a seat. Obviously we asked for a table for 2. We were then asked by another member of the wait staff if we wanted to dine in to which we said yes. She then asked if we wanted to sit outside. We said no because it was cold and raining, probably the reason that all the seating outside was vacant. We we asked to wait until they cleared a table inside. We had probably been waiting for 5 minutes by this point. Some more people arrived at this point and were asked if they were dining in, which they said they were. They weren't asked if they wanted to sit outside. After another couple of minutes waiting a table became available and was being cleaned up. My husband and I thought that it hadn't been a too long of a wait, and we would be seated next. One of the wait staff approached, but went to the people behind us in the queue and proceeded to take them to the the vacant table. When my husband and I asked why we weren't being seated first, given we had been waiting longer, we were told "they're a table of 3". We again said we head been waiting at least 5 minutes longer and should be seated first, but were told again "yeah but there are 3 of them". We decided that if that was the attitude of the waiting staff then the service probably wouldn't be much better. Handed back our menu's and left, and told them that we would tell friends and family not to bother going to Betty's Burgers. Really poor first...
