As an art&management major, as a person who really likes music, as a person who spends a lot of money on concerts and festivals every month, I dare to advise. If the jazz club is just for tourists, you can ignore this advice.(Because they don't come back with a high probability.) However, in order to continue the tradition of this jazz club and operate well so that local residents can always visit, you need to pay attention to artist management. I visited on Saturday evening, when the most people could visit, but their performance was terrible. If their music was a good performance, even if it was difficult, they could have impressed people. I didn't feel like everyone was enjoying it. The audience didn't nod his head, stomped his feet, and made a good expression. If you need to pay the same entrance fee for all performances, it is important as a manager to recruit artists who perform high-quality performances and to organize appropriate timetables. Also, some artists think it's a great dream to make a performance at this time. You need to think about how to light up young local artists.
I hope it will be a better space, and I hope it will be a jazz club that communicates with the...
Read moreMy son and I discovered this fabulous little jazz club when we took a wrong turning down a side road, but what a lucky mistake that was.
We booked online to see the Nick Haywood Quartet (double bass, piano, sax drums) that evening. It was my son's first time at a jazz club and it couldn't have been better.
The intimate atmosphere is what I imagine an underground 1950s jazz club was like minus the cigarette smoke! The set was almost completely the quartet's own compositions interspersed with stories and annecdotes and their passion for the music was obvious.
Guests ranged from late teens (my son) to retired couples and people from several nationalities. Drinks were reasonably priced (we didn't try the food because we had already eaten) and it was a relaxing and cool (in a jazz sense) way to spend a few hours. We will definitely be back.
My top tip: book ahead online to avoid disappointment. And I think it is a bit cheaper than paying...
Read moreMy wife and I went to the Agartha Jazzclub in Prague last weekend. The booking a few days before was absolutely uncomplicated, and there was also great email contact regarding some questions about the programme. We hadn't had much contact with jazz before and couldn't relate to this music. We went to see vibraphonist Radek Krampl at the club out of interest, and it was worth it! The music was very pleasant, the musicians were great. Unfortunately, we had to leave a little early. Until then it was a successful evening, a nice club in a beautiful old cellar vault from the Middle Ages. Nice staff, good bar with very reasonable prices. The acoustics were also very good for the small room. So we'd be happy to come back any time - even if we're not jazz fans. Highly recommended for a...
