Visited this place once, the attractive thing was that place is historical one and has many good reviews, but food has no taste, prepared with very cheap ingredients but costs expensive. Coffee is awful. I wouldn't recommend it for breakfast at all.... In the continuation of my experience in this cafe, manager Adela replied to my comment and called me not adequate, the argument was that I finished my coffee and breakfast and complained after...so I thought I was clear, no complaints about service or place itself, but you use cheep ingredients, in my case it was bread and coffee, in addition my friends with me had the same opinion, and even said it to staff directly!, he said the same, no complaints to them about their service, it was good, we appreciate it , but rather to owner who tries get maximum profit by using poor quality ingredients, like coffee, bread, salmon etc, and after all you called me not adequate!!! Very unpleasant experience. Maximum I can do with that it's just leave it here for people how would like...

Absolutely beautiful cafe with a view of both Old and New Town!! The waitresses were incredibly sweet and all spoke English well (very tourist-friendly and willing to help you navigate as well). They have several non-dairy milk options (I had oat and soy milk) and are willing to accommodate other allergies/dietary restrictions as well. The coffee was pretty cheap compared to several other cafes my group and I visited on our trip. We took several photos in their back room (which has a beautiful wine wall and mirror) and their front room is perfect for afternoon tea with large chandeliers and elegant table settings. It also features decorations that relate to its historical background as a popular cafe for intellectuals like Kafka, Teige, Toyen, and Nezval in the 20th century, which is the main reason my group visited. Overall a great stop for those who want both great food/drinks and to learn more about...

If Google offered an option where I could select ZERO stars, I definitely would use it. The service there is absolutely horrendous!!! We sat down to have a nice brunch with a friend. The first thing we both noticed was a dirty table - not cleaned at all, there were stains all over it. We then proceeded to choose what we would like to order. And then WAITED FOR TWENTY MINUTES for a very confused waiter to come and take our order, without any success. Though he did notice us, he kept running around with plates, not even properly taking orders from the surrounding tables - a few people who came after us left when he failed to notice them. As someone who has worked as a waitress, I know quite well myself when a restaurant is busy - by what I saw, there were hardly 12 tables occupied (including ours) which is truly not that many. Will not give this...

The Service is very nice. The Food was amazing. The best duck breast I had in years. My regrets were that they no longer serve Alpské Kynuté knedlíky. Such a shame, they are impossible to find anywhere and they had really good ones too. I highly recommend this place. But it should be noted that though the food is comparatively priced to other restaurants, the add ons are bit more expensive and quickly become quite a bundle. Not something most Czech people can afford. Duck, soup, basket of bread and read wine 800kc. While $40 for 1 person is affordable American price it is a lot for most people who don’t earn wages in Prague. So do visit and eat here or just get some cappuccino. They make good ones, and enjoy the historic feeling of the place. But understand that it’s a bit pricey.

It should have been a nice Christmas morning breakfast, although, waitresses seemed to be reckless when it came to serving food. They messed up the order, brought extra omelet which we didn’t order and we thought it’s included in one of the meals, did not bring butter for toasts and brought bacon with scrambled eggs, although, we asked for scrambled eggs without bacon. We understand everything and did not make any drama of it, just told them about their mistake, but instead, we got treated with disrespect and got huge load of coins in the end. Almost 100czk in coins of 1 and 2. As I see from the reviews, this is not the first time they do it with people who express their dissatisfaction even in a small way. Food was very usual. So don’t waste your time and mood here.
