The location is quite good. The reception handled the transactions quickly. There is free detox water and a vending machine at the entrance. Open 24/7. The building is old, but all the buildings in Prague are like this anyway. So you become a part of history.
We stayed in a quadruple room. Unless you want to sleep on the couch or armchair, there are very few places where everyone can have separate beds.
Air conditioning, kettle, refrigerator, shower, hair dryer were working smoothly. There is a wardrobe, television, table, chairs, bedside tables and a trash can.
The bathroom was clean and had the necessary supplies. When the shampoo ran out, it was not renewed the next day, so I went and asked for it at the reception and it was left in the room 5 minutes later. Since the room faces the interior, make sure that the bathroom curtains are closed, otherwise you can easily be seen while taking a shower or going to the toilet :)
There is an attendant for breakfast and he helps you show you the place in the morning. P/P ratio is good.
There are lots of bars and an Indian restaurant just outside the hotel. There is also a mini market at the beginning of the street, within walking distance, where you can meet your needs.
Maximum 10 minutes walking distance to transportation systems. There is a local market nearby, I recommend you research it. Close to the riverside.
It has two elevators that work smoothly. One of them also has seating inside.
cons: On the last day, we had to leave the hotel early and we had 15 minutes until breakfast. I wanted one croissant for each of my two little children. We were just going to take it and leave without sitting down. It was ready in the distance and we could see it. However, unfortunately, they rejected our request without taking any initiative, even for the children. It's acceptable for older people, but being okay with two kids going hungry 15 minutes before breakfast! frankly unacceptable. I think the man at the front desk doesn't have children.
bed linens are not changed every day. It was changed only on the last day. We conveyed this before arriving, but I don't know if it is a hotel rule.
The door is not electronic and a key is used. If you leave during the day, you are asked to leave it at the reception. However, when picking it up from the reception, I noticed that there was no verification. So the person who comes can ask for the number and get the key. This didn't seem very safe to me sometimes when the person you dropped off in the morning wasn't the same person you picked up in the evening. That's why I didn't leave the key behind after the first day and took it with me.
A safe, satisfying, easily accessible place suitable...

Read moreStayed in this hotel for 3 nights, and it wasn't very pleasant. customer service was very poor, as we arrived, we have been 'ordered' by their staff to fill in some forms with all the personal information including visa status which was totally unnecessary! They then checked the information we filled in very 'carefully' almost susbisously with reference to our passport. They were even dumb enough to say that my husband did not have a legal status while his ID was clearly printed on the pages of his passport ! After I point out where the visa was, the staff said it was not something to prove the status! She even said ' I can print 10, or 20 of this' myself ! Do they get any training before starting their jobs I wonder? We expect nice warming 'customer service' in a HOTEL, but felt like criminals being questioned by police!!! We spent a long time at the reception and the kids were tired after the fight, so i asked if she could phone the relevant authority to check what she doubt. She then replied rudely: yes I will check it myself! She then went to make a phone call to here manager. After a while, without any explanation and apology for the delay, she started to check us in. We finally went into our room. The toilet could not be flushed properly, furnitures were either very old or not in a reasonable condition. Air conditioning was not functioning properly as it was not cool enough. It was noisy in the room as we could hear sounds from we don't-know-where.
The breakfast was exactly the same for 3 consecutive mornings, and there wasn't many things to choose from. It finished at 10:30 and you are not allowed to stay in the dinning afterwards with waiters approaching rudely and 'order' you to leave despite the fact that we have 3 children to feed.
Then the check out time! They asked us to wait at the hall before check us out, saying they need to check the room and make sure nothing is missing. So we waited then someone came saying there is a towel missing and accused my youngest for taking it. After we denied the accusation, they asked us TO OPEN OUR SUITCASES for them to check! We just want to leave the place so we opened the luggage and asked if they really want to check. There was then a discussion about the missing towel between the hotel staff, and then, again, without any apology, they let us leave! My advice: do not expect services you usually get from a real hotel; Ensure the staff count the number of towel they put in shower; Get up early if you want to have breakfast, especially when you have kids with you; And, finally, if you have a choice: DO...
