Restaurace Tri Grácie is a lovely spot just by Charles Bridge. They have an extensive menu but, unfortunately for some (myself included), this does not include Affogato.
Sometimes an Affogato is just what you want, and being able to order an Affogato (rather than an espresso and a scoop of vanilla ice cream separately) hands the orderer a sense of pride and status over the others around them. This is a crucial part of any holiday especially one in a stag do heavy location such as Prague (where gents may feel the need to flex on friends old and new).
I would advise Restaurace Tri Grace (and any other prague based establishment currently selling ice cream and espresso) to add Affogato to their menu pronto Toronto. It certainly would've made my afternoon easier and simpler and I'm sure others would accord with this. It is a great hangover cure if you need one and a simple delicious treat if you don't.
In this instance my hand was forced at Restaurace Tri Gracie, I ordered an espresso and the vanilla ice cream with raspberry (only ice cream immediately available on menu). I combined these (see attached video for method) once I had eaten the cream off the top. The result was not really what I was looking for, it all turned a bit soupy and the raspberries were unpleasant combined with espresso.
As any good guide should I braved my way through this cognisant that I'd made my bed and needed to lie in it. I struggled through the Ice cream and espresso soup drawing ocassional laughs from my companions and looks of disgust or confusion from other patrons.
This was simply not the Affogato experience I desired, but my aura was rescued somewhat by the large glass bottle of San Pellegrino sparkling water (sparkling so none of my mates wanted any) I was served here.
This place is pretty good, just don't come here expecting Affogato you'll be...
Read moreLovely restaurant by the water. Chose this place as it was close to the meeting point of our walking tour. It was a beautiful day to sit outside. But that’s the only good part of the restaurant.
We ordered the goulash and the roast beef. The portion size is for children. The goulash had 3 small bite pieces of beef. Very disappointing as we’ve had starters bigger than this main portion. Even the roast beef was small. For 12 euros each, I’d rather you charge more but at least give a decent amount of food. The service was so so, waiter asked for a tip as it’s not included in the bill. He was looking at us and waiting to enter a tip that it’s uncomfortable. Would not...
Read moreVery bad and expensive food. Everything you pay extra.
The burger meat was very bad quality, actually the whole burger tasted bad. There where a few fries on the plate, but no sauce. We asked for sauce (of course on the bill it was 2Euro for the sauce). The salade came without any sauce or herbs either, they should call it instead of salade "cutted stuff". I asked for some bread and of course also that was on the bill (2Euro). The waiters are fast but not friendly. We did not even get greeted and they almost drow the stuff on the table. This...
