Asked to switch here from Madhouse before arriving and the staff sorted everything really smoothly for me. After I arrived, I was immediately amazed by the place. It’s in a gorgeous apartment literally 2 minutes from Charles Bridge, 5 minutes from Old Town square, and the actual hostel itself is phenomenal. It’s gorgeously decorated, with polaroid photos and bookshelves lining the walls – it has a ridiculously comfy couch in the common area accompanied by a huge TV, a kitchen I would be proud to have in my own house, huge beds with curtains, plugs and lights, enormous lockers under the bed – and air-conditioning (necessary this summer!) It is also pristine clean. The staff are exceptionally nice, offering advice and suggestions for everything. They even wrote a suggestions book for food, drink and activities for everyone to browse. Every morning they have prepared a new plan for the day, including what is served for their ‘family dinner’ (which costs about €3-4), what they are doing in the evening and what is happening around the city. Free pasta, rice, cereal, eggs, tea/coffee/hot chocolate and milk is available. They also sell bottled beers for about €1 each, and the cleaner bakes treats for everyone every morning. The family dinners are delicious and a great way to get people sat around the table chatting in the evening. One of the members of staff, Jenny, even introduced me to other people in the hostel as she was checking me in which I thought was a lovely touch. Of course, part of the experience was the group I hung out with which can never be guaranteed, but I think this place attracts a certain type of person. I would highly, highly recommend staying here and I cannot wait to return – even if I designed my own hostel with an unlimited budget, I couldn’t think of anything I’d change.

TLDR: Best Hostel I've stayed in by far. (Book this place) This hostel is about as good as a hostel can get; on every level it's designed to fit your needs as a backpacker. The beds are large and comfy, with a ledge and a power socket specifically for you. Each person has their own bed curtain so people going about's do not disturb you. Built into thebunk beds are two massive lockable draws that slide out, so very easy access. You have so much personal space, both secure and easily accessible. Bathrooms are very large, spacious and clean; fitted with great shower heads. Every morning I was there the caretaker made baked goods for everyone in the hostel, free cereal and milk for everyone; and the family dinners are great (Shout out to Louie for making an amazing tomato soup with grilled cheese). They have a beer fridge which is done on a trust system, meaning just grab some beers from the fridge and pay your money into the jar. There's an array of great boardgames, like explodnig kittens, cards against humanity, codenames and also a wii. Super fun to just relax and chill with all the other awesome guests. If you do want to go out it's in an extremely central location, about 5 minutes walk from the charles bridge making it super easy to walk to anywhere in Prague. The staff are some of the friendliests people I've met on my travels, and all super fun to hang out with. Staying here is more like staying in a friend's place with 17 of your other friends coming and going.

Had an amazing experience at the Roadhouse! The hostel only has 20 beds so it is much easier to socialize with people. It feels like a home away from home and the staff are incredibly friendly! Vegetarian dinners are organized each night (for about €5) and activities planned for the night with their sister hostel the madhouse (a party hostel). The location is perfect as its right in the centre and only minutes away from the charles bridge and the old town square. The dorms were clean with a massive locker space and I particularly enjoyed the privacy provided by the curtains. The bathrooms are also modern and clean however i wish there were more bathrooms as only 3 are available and sometimes you’ll need to wait. One thing to note is the hostel is 2 flights of stairs up so it may be a problem if you have mobility issues. I was on the top bunk which was also quite high. In summary, i highly recommend this hostel and if i revisit prague i will go back to the roadhouse for sure! TLDR: book this hostel now because its amazing!!

Absolutely loved staying in The RoadHouse!

It's a small hostel space, which makes meeting people really easy, especially if you are travelling alone as I was. The staff is incredibly friendly and will assist you in any way you need, from planning trips to chatting about your day. They truly made you feel like you were a part of a small family.

Every night they also organize events, which ususally consists of dinner and then going out to meet the others over at the MadHouse Hostel. From there you go on to a different location each time, usually a place to grab a beer and have a chat and if you want to stay out late, they'll even take you clubbing if you want. It's a great way to eat a cheap, but good meal and socialize, whilst also experiencing Prague at night. And after all of that, you come 'home' to a nice and more quiet hostel, to get a good nights sleep.

The amenities of the hostel are also great! The bathroom was really clean and modern and the showers fantastastic, the beds were sturdy and equiped with blackoutcurtains and lights and the top bunks even had a small fan installed. You got your own towel and storage space, one large roll-out space big enough for all your stuff and one area to hang your towel and put your toiletries. They don't offer breakfast, but they do always have some cornflakes or cocoapuffs available for you if you want, as well as some other food, like pasta, in the guest fridge.

All in all, couldn't recommend it more. The RoadHouse is really charming, the ameneties are great and the staff fantasic. A great place to meet fellow travelers. Would love...
