Stepping into The Thai Station in Prague, we were immediately struck by an atmosphere that diverged from the traditional Thai aesthetic one might expect. The decor, while not overtly reflective of Thailand’s vibrant cultural motifs, exuded a welcoming charm that set a pleasant tone for the dining experience. What truly elevated our expectations, however, was the staff—entirely Thai, their warm hospitality and authenticity promised a genuine culinary journey. As we perused the menu, our eyes were drawn to our perennial favorites: Tom Yum, Phad Thai, Paneng Curry, Som Tam, and the quintessential Thai dessert, Mango Sticky Rice. Each dish held the promise of bold flavors and time-honored recipes, and we were eager to see how The Thai Station would deliver. For starters, we opted for the Tom Yum and Chicken Satay. The Tom Yum, a classic Thai soup known for its fiery and tangy profile, was satisfyingly well-executed, delivering the expected balance of spice, sourness, and aromatic herbs. However, it was the Chicken Satay that stole the spotlight. The skewers were perfectly grilled, tender, and succulent, but what elevated this dish to extraordinary heights was the accompanying peanut sauce—a masterful blend of creamy, nutty richness with a hint of sweetness and spice. Having sampled satay at numerous Thai restaurants worldwide, we can confidently declare this to be the finest we’ve ever tasted, a true testament to the chef’s skill. For the main course, we indulged in the Som Tam (green papaya salad) and Paneng Curry. The Som Tam was a triumph, earning a well-deserved 8/10. Bursting with freshness, the salad was generously studded with plump prawns, and the balance of spicy, sour, sweet, and salty flavors was impeccable. The dish’s vibrant crunch and bold seasoning made it a standout, easily warranting a five-star rating in our book. The Paneng Curry, while slightly less remarkable, was still highly enjoyable. Its creamy coconut base and aromatic spices were well-balanced, though it lacked the extra spark to elevate it to greatness. We rated it a respectable 7/10, which might typically translate to a four-star score, but the overall excellence of the meal ensured the restaurant’s rating remained unblemished. To conclude our dining experience, we savored the Mango Sticky Rice, a dessert that never fails to delight. The Thai Station’s rendition was nothing short of sublime. The perfectly ripe mango slices, paired with glutinous rice drenched in sweet coconut milk, provided a heavenly finale that left us reminiscing about the meal long after we left. In summary, The Thai Station in Prague offers an exceptional dining experience that combines authentic Thai flavors with warm, attentive service. While the ambiance may not fully capture the essence of Thailand, the food more than compensates, delivering bold, harmonious dishes that linger in the memory. From the unparalleled Chicken Satay to the exquisite Mango Sticky Rice, this restaurant is a must-visit for Thai cuisine enthusiasts seeking an unforgettable culinary adventure. We wholeheartedly award The Thai Station a five-star rating and look forward to returning for another taste of Thailand in the...

Delicious Thai Food & Outstanding Service

If you're looking for authentic and flavorful Thai cuisine, this place is an absolute must-visit! From the moment we sat down, we were impressed not only by the variety of dishes on the menu but also by the quality of the food itself.

Each dish was perfectly prepared, bursting with the bold, vibrant flavors that make Thai food so special. From the fresh herbs and spices in the curries to the delicate balance of sweet, sour, and spicy in every bite, it was clear that a lot of care and attention went into each plate. The Pad Thai, Tom Yum soup, and green curry were especially memorable!

But what really made the experience stand out was the exceptional service. The staff were warm, attentive, and went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed. They were knowledgeable about the menu and even made thoughtful recommendations that elevated our meal.

Overall, this is the perfect spot for anyone who loves Thai food and appreciates great service. We will definitely be back to enjoy more of their...

Thai Station Bistro & Cafe is a gluten-free haven with exceptional flavor. We were welcomed by a warm and inviting atmosphere from the moment we walked in.

As someone with celiac, I was delighted to find a plethora of gluten-free options clearly labeled on the menu. This attention to detail immediately put me at ease, allowing me to confidently explore the menu.

We started with the Chicken Satay. The skewers of perfectly grilled chicken were tender and juicy. At the same time, the accompanying peanut sauce added a delightful touch of creaminess and spice.

My partner had the Pad Thai, while I ordered the Green Curry. The tender chunks of chicken and vegetables absorbed the rich curry flavor.

In conclusion, Thai Station Bistro & Cafe is a gem for those seeking a gluten-free dining experience without compromising taste. The delicious array, welcoming atmosphere, and attentive staff make it a must-visit for locals and visitors alike. I wholeheartedly recommend...

Definitely found my place in Prague for basil chicken stir fry. Thank you guys for the reviews that made me curious to give it a try 🥰. The mango sticky rice dessert was a surprise too. Hence my 5-star review. Beware: the dessert is a sugar bomb lol. TL:DR:- FYI I have tried multiple times to make this whenever the Thai Asian Food shop near Krymska stocks holy basil or made a trip to Sapa, but never quite nail it visually because the colour turned out not dark enough or minced chicken not fried enough. Still full of aromatic flavours, though. But they nail it! So delicious like I imagined. And proper Southeast Asian spicy level 😂. I’m happy.

I was craving some spicy food, so my first thought was Thai food. After walking out of the Exchange Place, I noticed this restaurant was right next to it, so I decided to give it a try. The staff were very friendly, and the Thai milk tea was perfect 💕 — it tasted just like the ones in Bangkok, haha. The duck Pad Kra Pao was spicy, juicy, and really good. The portion looked a bit small at first, but it was surprisingly filling. I got mine as takeaway since I wanted to eat after a nap, and it still tasted great even after microwaving it. Highly recommended 🌟
