McJoy's Choice — Restaurant in Copenhagen Municipality

I have been here 5 times at least. It is one of my favourite place for fish and chips. Today I took my parents and my friend and his father here who all were on a visit in Copenhagen. We all had fish and chips, with either water or juice. The fish was tender fried in a light batter. The chips were good. It was perfectly cooked. The service on the other hand: the one who bought us the bill became very rude when I said no tip! and proceeded to the complete the electronic payment!. He ripped the recepiet angrily and handed it over to us! Yes, we look foreigners, but I have lived a decade in this country. It is not customarily, and I will not tip for bringing us food or cooking it! The dishes are pricey as they are. I could get all you can eat Sushi for the same price, but I understand it is Nyhavn. I never tipped in this country, and that is the lovely thing about Denmark. Nop, the waiter was not Danish. How RUDE!!!! I will come NOT come back...

I have been there together wirh my family where my 2 year-old son got a fried fish open sandwich. Since he didn't finish, I took over and wanted to finish it. But I didn't anyway 'cause it was not good - taste very bad and not fresh fish. I commented to the waiter and he just said I am sorry to hear. THATS IT!. I came over and complain again. But he said that the dish was half eaten and therefore nothing can be done. But my son is only 2 year old, he doesnt know what is good and bad. Very bad service that they didn't want to take responsibility of it. I just hope that my kid doesn't get bad stomach later.

BTW, the food in general was not so nice. It was lot bad but not as the other restaurants besided them. Overprice for the quality. Will...

Went to the bar around 23:30 and found a waiter/barman outside asked if we could get a drink and were told that last call was done and they are not serving anymore.. Fair enough we know that the outside terace closes around 12 o'clock and proceeded to ask if we could grab a beer inside since we know the bar closes at 2 o'clock and the waiter started talking to us like we are stupid and i quote "LET (pause) ME (pause) REPEAT (pause... You get the point) last call is done we are closing in 15min

We are frequent guests at mcJoys and never had an issue before thats why i gave the second star but this situation...
