Staff EXTREMELY rude! Yesterday (02.07.24) we came here for a drink, one of the staff told us to seat at one of the sides of the outdoor area, saying it’s an area for drinks. We sat there as advised, and the manager (woman with long black hair) came and told us this is a seating area for food only and that we should seat at the other part of the restaurant. We were surprised as we were just told the exact opposite a minute ago, so we told her that her colleague advised us the opposite. To which the woman scoffed (almost shouted) at us angrily ‘well I’m the manager I know best’. We stood up and left as we did not come to this restaurant to be shouted at. Completely unreasonable behaviour as we were not even insisting on staying at the table or anything, we just told her what her colleague advised us the minute prior, trying to clarify which area we should be seating at, there was no need to be rude to us. I’ve never experienced such rude treatment in any restaurant that I’ve ever...
Read moreWe honestly just picked a random spot that had a fine menu as everything was crowded. The vibe felt off from the start. The prices are way too high compared to the food they are serving, but ok we are in Denmark, it is what it is. They were literally loading their terrace full with greed in their eyes. The drinks were put in our hands in a hurry and it looked like the staff would only smile if you spend the right amount of money.
The people next to us were having quite some troubles with something on the bill and the couple behind us was flabbergasted because the bill was being thrown on the table while they were still chatting and obviously did not ask for it. : they had to leave. Other guests were in line and already told they could have a spot in a minute.
We could hear and see some staff rushing to push people out and get new people in. It felt very...
Read moreThis small restaurant on the canal, (the name means "at the quay"), has fantastic food, & very enthusiastic servers from around the world. We ate inside & very much enjoyed our: lobster bisque, calamari, salmon, "chicken burger", and carpaccio were excellent. (Carpaccio could use capers & onion cubes, but the quality was fresh enough I didn't mind). It seemed people came just for the food. We sat inside (warmer), but very quaint, comfortable seating outside, with many ways to stay warm: fireplaces in glass, electric heaters, & blankets. We went in December. Note: their bar is small. They are well stocked in wine, & the various international coffees (w alcohol). But if you desire a mixed drink, there are other places on the street better stocked for that. Enjoy the food, the ambience &...
