TUDO Bubble Tea (Alexanderplatz) — Restaurant in Berlin

I‘ve visited Tudo way more than 30 times for sure and honestly this place deserves 3 stars. If you order from their menu the bubble tea is okay. I‘ve probably tried close to everything from their menu and I think overall it‘s a solid 3 out of 5 stars. If you order something you choose yourself, suddenly they put milk although you‘ve ordered without milk, the tea doesn’t taste good, the jellys are too big to fit trough the straw, the staff is usually stressed out, doesn’t ask the usual questions even when no one else besides you orders. The staff is always friendly though and I can highly recommend the hot pod!!! The place looks inviting and as an Army I appreciate the BTS fan decoration. Quality varies depending on the bubble tea. My 1rst try was a matcha, which was probably the worst BBT I had ever tasted in my whole life : absolutely no flavour, half the beverage was drowned in ice, expensive, the beverage was supposed to consist of a nice light green color but they pour it in a random opaque packaging so you can’t even admire it, staff not very friendly… couldn’t be worse. I decided to give it a 2nd and a 3rd chance, fortunately the « Rosy » was delicious and lived up to my expectations (this one is poured into a transparent packaging, thank god). However the annoying thing is that the place is often crowded with teenagers wanting to get their Instagram pic (the shop is cute), it seems TUDO is getting a lot of attention from social networks, at the expense of the quality. As a tea lover I was quite underwhelmed by the tea selection. They didn’t even have oolong milk tea, which is such a classic for bubble tea. I ordered a classic brown sugar milk tea – but they ran out of black tea (in the evening to be fair), so I thought I couldn't go wrong with matcha brown sugar. Unfortunately the matcha tasted really bitter and not smooth at all (powdery, as someone else mentioned). Honestly my homemade matcha tastes way better than what I got here. So I couldn't even drink it and wasted my money.
