We had a great dinner at Surf N’ Turf Bistro in Charlotte Amalie! The food was really, really good — our group of four had the grilled salmon with rice and veggies, seafood paella, cheeseburger and fries, pot stickers, and coconut shrimp. Everything was delicious! Though we personally didn’t love the coconut shrimp as much because the breading wasn’t very seasoned, they provided a sauce with it, and others might enjoy the lighter flavor.
Our server Jane’ (sp?) was very pleasant and attentive. The restaurant is small, but clean, cozy, and has a nice vibe. I liked the florals, greenery and vines with fairy lights going up the stairway. I also liked the exposed brick with the polished sheen, and the tables were a great size for dining comfortably. The overall atmosphere was relaxed and welcoming. It was quiet and easy to talk. No loud thumping music or boisterous discussions. For the guys, there is a big TV at the bar.
We also ordered cocktails — I had the Painkiller and it was strong and flavorful. The Bahama Mama was also a hit. Drinks were well-made with a good pour.
One heads-up: there’s a steep staircase to reach the restaurant, so if you have mobility issues, keep that in mind. Also, there’s no parking directly on the street where the Bistro is located, but you can park on the adjacent cross street after 6pm. We had 8pm reservations and had no problem finding a spot nearby.
Highly recommend this bistro — it’s a vibe! Make reservations if you’re going with a...

My family and I ate here a few days ago, and let me tell you—this was, without exaggeration, the best food we’ve ever had.
We arrived about 30 minutes early, and instead of making us wait outside, the staff kindly welcomed us in until they officially opened—such a warm and inviting gesture. Our server was incredible—kind, attentive, and patient as he walked us through the specials and answered all our questions about the menu. I don’t remember his name but he was a sweet young man who came from Puerto Rico! Shout out, he was amazing!!
I ordered the Surf n Turf and my wife got the crab legs. While both were amazing, the Surf n Turf edged out just slightly—the steak was cooked to perfection, and the sauce? I would put that on everything. I’m not usually a fan of lobster, but this lobster was unbelievably good. As for the crab legs, the sauce that came with them was hands-down the best we’ve ever tasted.
From the food to the service to the cozy, welcoming atmosphere, everything was flawless. We left wishing we could eat here every night!

Read moreEverything was absolutely delicious and downright perfect. I came with my sis to celebrate my birthday and we had never been to this restaurant before. It was a nice ambience, Pina coladas here were made to perfection (ain't everyone makes Pina coladas good). Then we had the seafood pizza with the pesto base and it was finger licking good. We also had the Mussles, the shells were all open and so there was no fighting involved lol, the sauce was sooo good as well we decided next time to order the bread to accompany it next time (it came with but it was not enough, cause the sauce deserved to be fully consumed). Me and sis shared our plates, one was the Steak and the other was the Salmon. Couldn't decide on which sauce for the steak so we got both the peppercorn and the mushroom sauce on the side. We preferred the peppercorn. Both the Salmon and Steak were tender. Staff was very nice and attentive. I also enjoyed my nicely made mocktail. All in all 10 out...
