DONāT COME HERE OR ORDER FROM HERE1 star all the way down! :I ordered the chicken orzo soup 9/6/23Iāve loved it for years this time it was mediocre not hot when it arrived! But what really made me mad is they forgot my Diet Coke! When I called back and talked to Tanya she said there was nothing she could do because it wasnāt on the order. I immediately told her yes it was because the receipt that was stapled on there stated that it was on thereā¦. Then she was like oh my God Iām so sorry I tagged that oneā¦Then she asked what can we do to make this better? Obviously I want my Diet Coke duh(this is what I was thinking in my head) so then she said she would see if one of her employees that was going to clock out soon would deliver it to me which automatically didnāt make sense but I said ok then she said she would call me back it took so long I called back so she said she got on the phone with Uber to see if they could run me my Diet Coke of course they said no because it was Corner Bakeryās fault not theirs! Then she said she would send me a certificate via my email to make it better so I would give them another chance, and never did I receive that certificate! I even checked my spam. I called today and the manager that I spoke to said it could not be emailed but it could be mailed or picked up! I told him thatās ok Iām not driving downtown or waiting for it to be mailed. My issue is you canāt mess up someoneās order and then make broken promises to boot. They donāt have to worry about me ever ordering from here again. The service and food are trash I would give 0 stars if I could please donāt order from here the lightbulb is not on and dimming fast this used to be a good spot! They had 0 solutions 0 service and 0 knowledge of what to do. This establishment is a house without a roof....

It should be common practice to train counter-front staff to be communicative with customers who walk in and those who are in line. I never see more than 1 person managing the register/front counter and since they also have to make coffee orders and pack food the lineup gets long and everyone's just standing around not knowing when or if they'll even get served. I've seen so much business just walk out the door. Simply training the staff to shout out a "good morning" every time someone walks through the door and to let people in line know that they are seen can go such a long way. "Hey everyone, I just need to make a couple lattes, but as soon as this one's done I'll be happy to serve the next person in line. We've got delicious new seasonal muffins in our case today so please ask me about our flavors!". That alone would keep more people in line than seeing them all walk out due to the dead silence.
Also, it's really disappointing that nearly all seasonal items are always unavailable/sold out! I noticed that they had a variety of peach lemonade/drinks and a hazelnut cold brew on the seasonal menu but every single one had a sold out sticker over it. So sad!
The app also needs a lot of work. For example: while I was staying at the Mariott my hubby and I wanted to order ahead in the morning but under the beverage button the only option available were the 3 signature lattes. I visited there 2 weeks ago and they did not have any lemonade, coffee, or any other drinks ready, even though it was about 2 hours after opening. I visited after that around 9:45am, and they did not have ANY FOOD available. The manager, as he sat down watching his phone, said "yea, I don't have any staff today so I don't know when we'll have food available. All we have are pastries." I visited again today (at 10:15am) and, following the trend, he did not have any desserts ready, saying they had just come out (3 hours after opening) and needed to co down. I ordered my panini and it was burned pretty badly. I asked him to remake it... They brought me a completely different sandwich with completely different bread. At this point, I asked for a refund as it had been 15-20 mins and I had to get back to work. James responded by taking the receipt off of the bag and saying "ok, I'll put it back on your card." There was no apology, no "you can keep the drink on us since we messed up your order and wasted your time", no "I'm sorry this happened, can you give us one more chance to correct it?". Nothing.
