We had dinner here on our trip to the Pigeon Forge area. We spent one day in Gatlinburg and decided to have dinner here and instantly regretted it.
A little preface, we did read ahead of time that they had a pet friendly patio, since we were traveling with our pup this was perfect and was part of what made the decision.
We are a family of 6 with a pup so we requested patio seating. We were told there wasn’t any wait staff for the patio area and sat us inside. AFTER, ordering over $200 of food, while we were waiting on our meal, management approached me telling me if I couldn’t make my pup sit still I would need to sit on the patio or… I’m not sure what the “or” was as I instantly informed him I requested to sit on the patio to start with.
My family and I carried our appetizers and drinks to the patio that consisted of jumbled tables and chairs in no particular order. We found 2 tables set up that sat 4 each, so we sat at those 2 dusty nasty tables. Our appetizers weren’t ordered for this set up, but we made it work. A friendly man in overalls brought out our food that we had to go back inside to request utensils to eat it with. My daughter requested a refill on her drink and was denied. No one got a single refill after asking 3 times, we sucked the melted ice from the bottom of our glasses with our meal. The only thing our waiter brought us after our initial drinks and my 1 “hat” was a $220 check!
I would also like to add a group of three women requested to sit on the patio, and they were sat at a table OUR waiter set up for them AND CLEANED before he sat them. They enjoyed the whole experience so I know it wasn’t the patio that was the issue.
I understand the point is to be a “dick” however, this was TERRIBLE!!! No drinks, no utensils, no interaction, not even the cute little funny hats for everyone. I guess you get treated badly if you bring your pup to the pet friendly patio so please be cautious. I did not get what I paid for! This restaurant is an experience type place, and we were cast to the side and completely ignored!
This was my second time at this location and although last year was a great experience this one has burnt me...
Read moreI have wanted to come to this place for years but have never been able to due to the groups I was traveling with. There was no wait but we were seated without menus and told they were also on the wall but they were not visible from our table due to the wooden posts. Eventually our server came with menus and took our drink order. From what we could tell our server only had our table and what appeared to be a bachelorette party. We were brought drinks and had a handful of straws thrown at us but only after we asked. Rather than take our order she went away again. She later returned to take our order, we ordered an appetizer and 2 meals. Another server brought us our appetizer but even though it was finger food we were not given napkins. We had to wait for another server to come by to ask for napkins, which were again thrown at us. Our food was brought to us by someone other than our server. We quickly realized we didn’t have any utensils so we sat there with food getting cold while our server was on the other side of the restaurant with the party bringing them drinks, laughing with them, taking pictures with them etc. The server for the section next to us was back and forth between his 3-4 tables constantly and we eventually had to ask him for utensils and drink refills. Our server returned when we had finished eating to bring us our bill. We figured we were not going to get hats with anything funny written on them from her but she quickly made some after bringing our bill. The server for the section next to us was making them after his customers ordered food.
I realize the shtick of this place is to be somewhat rude and not politically correct but there is a fine line between being comically rude for fun and horrible service by ignoring your customers. I’m still not sure if not giving things like straws, napkins, and silverware until you ask for it is the way they do things or just an additional thing our server was bad at. I had been looking forward to eating here for many years so this was a big...
Read moreBefore you go here you should know what you’re getting. Because we didn’t which is our fault, I suppose. But still, as a warning to future customers you can expect, “Service with rudeness and sarcasm.”
Which would have been fine because I can handle that, as can my best friend, but I was not okay with the menus and utensils being tossed on the table without warning. Nor was my best friend who was previously in an abusive relationship. It was jarring for both of us. It made lunch uncomfortable and nerve wracking. We didn’t even finish the food—which to be fair was tasty.
Nor did we enjoy the BJ shots we ordered because we were told “no hands” and ended up making a mess of ourselves. (And yes, we could have used our hands, but we weren’t sure how well that would be received and had no desire to be embarrassed further.)
A couple of other things to note:
—this is NOT a child friendly environment, unless they can’t read. The hats they make and give you can be gross. (and the one on a young girls head that said “the reason boys like boys” was really unnecessary.)
—if someone ask for water on a hot day maybe provide ice or at least cold bottled water.
—telling your customers to “not be cheap, tip $20” might get you $20 but it also gets your place of employment a bad review and no...
