I've been coming to Leavenworth since the early 2000s and most of the time you'll find a place that you like, but after years and years they either move on, change the menu or something else comes in that's better... I will tell you that is not the case for the Leavenworth Pizza Company. Every time I go to town if I want pizza there's not even a question as to where to go. I know this place has changed hands but I will tell you the new owner has kept his pies the best in town... We were in town for just a weekend and decided in the afternoon that we wanted something good. Well of course pizza. So we walked over to Pizza Company which is so nicely located to the square. At that time we were greeted by Vanessa. Great smile! Happy demeanor and absolutely excited to help. We had a great conversation and picked out a large supreme thin crust... While waiting, Vanessa asked us some questions and made us feel right at home. It was nice to feel like we were part of the family... Prior to our soft drinks We received water after our first glass was about half down she brought a nice glass cold decanter for us to fill our own glass, just before the pizza came I got my pop... The shop was busy buzzing people in and out picking up pizzas as well as many people coming in and sitting down when you're in a town like Leavenworth and they have tons of places to eat,When you end up in a busy place, you know it's a good place to eat... Vanessa then brought this beautiful round browned perfectly combination pizza... As you can tell from the photos, the crust was done very well. There are tons of cheese and fresh toppings. It didn't look or taste too me like anything had been frozen. It looks like everything was fresh and plenty of it ... The large was perfect for the two of us because we usually take quite a bit home but when we were finished I believe we only got a box for two pieces... It was that good...We went to personally Thank Vanessa and Leavenworth Pizza company for making our afternoon...they serve an absolutely amazing pizza . Thank Vanessa for making our afternoon keeping our water full, filling our ears with great conversation and delivering a...
Read moreBe Aware! Yesterday I ate there with my Wife, Sister In-Law, and baby niece (June 1st 2012.) Our Experience: We went in at about 4:30 PM. It was empty except for a couple that came in about 5min after us. Our waitress, (middle aged) sat us and didn't bother to get us a high chair. We located and grabbed one of the two both broken strapped high chairs ourselves. Not a big deal, but once again it was dead in there. After receiving our fresh breadsticks we placed our order for a 15" Margherita with added chicken and ArtHearts. It took about 45 min. until we received our pizza. When the waitress brought the pizza she said "Sorry, we've got a newbie back there." She took our dry cups AFTER asking if we wanted a refill. No we wanted to eat a cheesy salty pizza with no water! Really? Taste of pizza? Very rich and cheesy. Good. We could all barely finish one piece each. We boxed the rest and before we made it home Sister in-law Vomited uncontrollably. She thought she was car sickness even though she says it never happens to her. We brushed it off and went home to finish our piece of pizza. I was the next victim. It hit me at around 11pm followed by my wife around midnight. So from about midnight though 8 am we were all vomiting in buckets next to the bed. We all had to take today off of work and will be contacting the health department when we have the energy to make a phone call. I have never had such a bad experience and will let everyone I know about this exhausting experience. Vomiting about every 15/20 min for over 6 hours really takes a toll on the body and mind. We had to stay hydrated so we wouldn't pass out and water just came out over and over as our bodies would reject anything. Save yourselves from this "Pizza Restaurant" where the waitresses don't smile and the pizza made by newbies attack you from...
Read moreWe're a family of 4 visiting Leavenworth for the first time. Our family includes 2 small kids. We arrived hungry as we ate a light lunch and were told that the wait time would be 30-45 mins. OKAY, no problem. We left our name and number and went to find a warm shop to stay in while we waited. At around the 40 minute mark, my husband, who was checking his phone constantly, decided we should start making our way back.
We arrived and they told us they didn't have our name on the list. Then after some chat with a coworker, we were told that they did call us and the call was forwarded so they moved on to the next group. We showed proof from our call log that they in fact DID NOT call us. So instead of taking ownership of their mistake by apologizing or admitting perhaps the call was actually not made or perhaps they entered the wrong number, the host then still insinuated that it was OUR error by saying "We only call once and then we move on because we can't wait forever" and condescendingly said, "I will make an exception though, and take your word for it and I will bump you guys to the top of the list, but it's still going to be a bit of a wait."
We probably would have waited AGAIN, had they taken accountability, because maybe it was an honest mistake, but after the back and forth of us trying to get him to understand that we WERE watching our phone and we DID NOT get a call and this was at NO FAULT OF OURS, we left because we were so turned off by how we were treated.
Maybe the food is good, but we will never know. Our evening was ruined, our kids cried, and we had better service...
