I enjoyed my time off in Leavenworth. As famous as Germantown, I visited this place multiple times. I never been in German and I don’t know how is the taste compare to others, but I liked it! Server suggested me beer to taste, helpful, kind and nice. I ordered extra a litter of octofest beer to go when I leave, I found price wasn’t right. It said $8 for pint(16oz), $12.5 for one litter(32oz). price on bill was $21.7. $9 *2 (beer) +$1 *2 (packing bottle) I understand they didn’t have any bottle to pack, which means you can’t order a littler (32oz) I didn’t like how they charged for me. Also, Price on the board at ordering place is not up to date. I know it’s just a dollar. Still, as a customer, I have right to know what to pay and how much I pay for. Who works there, doesn’t care about price out side, just showed me what his program said. I wished to hear, he will contact somebody to fix the board later, but he said I don’t know what said in menu and he can’t fix it. So, Please somebody update the price soon. Plus, only pint of beer able to pack to go. I recommend this place to my friends, and wish to runs well.

I always go to the Sausage Garten for hot dogs. It's quite a drive from Seattle to Leavenworth just for the restaurant's homemade sausages, but I go there for that and visit the little shops and river. I give the restaurant a five-star for the taste of the links and the friendly people that work there. Thanks to the staff for allowing me to video record and post a review on my YouTube channel under LEE THOEUN + Best Homemade Sausages. I suggest the Spicy Italian and Polish sausages with cold Apple cider. It tastes amazing! The condiments used to be an extra charge, but it's on the table for you, which is how it should be and perfect for the customers. Price-wise, you can expect to pay $20 to $30 per person, depending on your order. Sausage Garten can sometimes get crowded if you're going there on weekends or holidays. If you're in Leavenworth, give this place a try, and I hope you like it.

They have so many varieties of sausages, including vegan specialties. The Italian sausage was to die for! My daughter enjoyed a vegan sausage. There are nearly as many varieties of mustards, sauerkraut, relish, etc, at the topping bar. They've got great beers, too, as well as a free glass of water if you're on a budget. The staff are very polite and accommodating. There are bathroom facilities onsite, and my daughter was able to bring her dog (on a leash) inside the covered seating area. On a busy day, you'll need to find parking across the street, either at the public lot or the library parking lot. Either way, the price is reasonable. Of course you'll want to stay as long as you can at this Bavarian village. Leavenworth is unique, unless you are in Bavaria proper!

LITERALLY THE WORST CUSTOMER SERVICE. Let me explain… I’ve never left a negative review anywhere but the experience we just had was completely unacceptable. I’m a night manager at a restaurant and a barista at Starbucks and the service from the older lady that works there was not okay. No one should be treated like that. We just ordered a beer and two sausages. They poured the beer and handed it to us and we noticed right away there was a dead fly on the beer, it was super obvious. I am not a confrontational person, but I asked, “I noticed there’s a fly in our beer, can I get a new one.” (Super nicely) The older lady didn’t say anything, took the beer, didn’t even apologize and poured the same Fly Beer into another glass. (First, Gross!) Secondly, I was like okay whatever it’s not a big deal. We sat down and was about to take out first sip, but before doing so I looked to see if there was anything else just in case and there was MORE fly guts, wings on the foam! No joke. I was like okay, this isn’t okay. So I went up to the lady and was like, “hey, there’s actually more fly in this, can I please just get a new beer that hasn’t had fly in it?” She then said, “but you drank some of it!” I said, “no, we didn’t. I promise you, we have not took one drink from it.” (Again, who cares if I had IT HAD FLY GUTS IN IT) She then said, well when I poured it into another glass it didn’t have guts anymore. I said, “it was because you poured it from the glass that had the guts in the first place.” She didn’t say anything. I was really upset at this point and asked, “Can I PLEASE just get a new beer that hasn’t had fly in it.” She said, “….no.” I then asked for a refund and she said fine.

This is not okay. I was so nice to her, considering all that happened, yet she didn’t apologize once or even offered to make the matter better. She would seriously lose all my future business over one beer. My girlfriend and I have been coming here frequently for over a year now, but will no longer be coming back. Seriously, a shame. So upset. Again, no one should be...

We were there late afternoon Sunday, August 23. No beer on Sunday for me! That's ok, but why do they block off the disabled access point?

There were a lot of people milling around on the sidewalk. To me, it just looked like a lot of people standing around. I wasn't sure why they were all there... but saw wait staff handing cold beers over a railing to people below.

The entrance my husband and I use is at the top of the wheelchair ramp. It's easily accessible. Mask on, I walked in to see if I could order a beer and bring it to a table below. I asked a server as he whisked past me with a pitcher if we could just walk up to counter and place order. He said: I don't know!

I walked towards the counter to inquire and hopefully order a beer. A waitress rushed over to me and snarled: You can't just walk in here. YOU HAVE TO GO DOWN THERE AND WAIT IN LINE WITH EVERYONE ELSE. YOU CAME IN THE EXIT.

I've used that upper entrance for so many years, I was stunned. If there was a sign, I did not see it. People make mistakes, but staff need to be nicer about it. No I did not order a beer. I figured they don't deserve my business if they are going to be that rude.

Especially since they have conveniently blocked access to mobility impaired customers. That means my husband can't get his wheelchair up those stairs to the walk up counter. And that makes me mad.

I get it. It's COVID and it's a tourist town. Life's complicated. So I warn you.. If traveling with mobility impaired people, wheelchair bound or otherwise, do not bother...

Cured is a place I've been to a couple times in my trips to Leavenworth. I was very pleased to see that the Sausage Garten featured their meats. Cured normally doesn't do the cooking, so getting a sausage that's ready-to-eat is a treat. Walked up after open and ordered a Bockwurst for myself and a Currywurst for my wife. While the bockwurst was good, my wife's currywurst was fantastic. Both had a good texture- a finely ground meat sausage with great snap. The currywurst, however, had a very delicate floral flavor from the curry. I've had currywurst at a couple of places but they haven't seemed to do the final product any justice. But Cured comes through. Unfortunately, the Cured shop had no currywurst available for sale, having run out that morning already. The bockwurst was good, with a lightly seasoned palate and abundant snap. We also ordered a very generous traditional Bavarian pretzel. The cheese sauce is a little ho-hum (get someone from your great beer collection to make a to - die- for cheese sauce, please). I loved the harder pretzel texture which was still chewy but had a very toothy bite. I'll make it back and this time, you'd better have...
