First of all, my boyfriend and I along with at least two other parties waited on the stairwell for about half an hour before a waitress ever acknowledged us. We were turning to each other and trying to figure out what to do or if we were waiting in the right place because we were getting no service at all whatsoever. Finally the family in front of us got seated, and we waited about 15 minutes before another waitress saw us. She let us know that it was busy and would be about a 40 minute wait if we want to dine in or we could have our food in about 20 minutes if we ordered to-go. Seeing to how there were no social distancing markers that we could see and the place was really small we felt safest eating to-go anyway. We started ordering our food and while my boyfriend was mid-sentence ordering his food, the waitress fully walked away from him to help someone else. She came back after a couple minutes, took his order, and told us to wait outside for our food.
We were already pretty upset after the service we received. Yet, after being told it would be 20-25 minutes until we would get our food, we waited an HOUR AND 10 minutes. We had actually gone down the stairs to politely ask for a refund when our food just happened to be ready. The food is decent, but definitely not worth all that trouble and nearly $35 to feed only two people. We didn’t end up asking for a refund because we like to support small businesses, but we wanted to share our experience so that people can budget lots and lots of time (and patience) if you want...
Read moreDo not go here unless you enjoy surprise billing and nausea. The menu pricing is inaccurate and they are well aware. Wish we had read other reviews regarding this. The "omelets" apparently do not even include the eggs in the price. What? We already paid separately for 2 omelet fillers, one of which we were overcharged for as well. When we brought up the discrepancies and showed them the menu the waitress said "well that's what we charge, the menu is wrong, and we have a separate per egg charge not included in the price." She showed us a peice of paper stuck to the front of the menu she had (not visible on my menu) that said there was a $1.00 fee for additional eggs, but we didn't add any more than what the omelet included and that additional fee was still less than what we were charged. She shrugged it off and repeated that "the price is the price". So what does the price of their omelets include? Labor to make it I guess, and a diced potato since we didn't even get the toast, and as we were charged and had to pay for every other ingredient separately. We paid extra for strawberries (which turned out to be only about 2 tbsp worth) and gluten free pancakes and both had absolutely no flavor. Also, both my husband and I felt very ill within 30 minutes of finishing this very bland, flavorless meal we overpaid for and I ended up sick for the rest of...
Read moreIt all started with slipping on the last step and headed shoulder first into the sturdy little bench at the base of the stairs. Not one individual from the restaurant came to make sure I was ok. Finally got settled to our table. Waitress was short tempered and rude, wanted our order right then, I told her I needed more time, and she walked away in a huff. I ordered the big McCall, worst country gravy I have ever had in my life. Overall I ate a piece of bacon and nothing else. No one ever asked how it was, had they I am sure the full plate of food should have shown them the appropriate answer, again no one cared. They just wanted the bill paid so they could move along to the next table, which I understand, but you can do it with a smile instead of being so rude. I mean come on, I just fell in your establishment due to a lifting piece of duct tape and a handrail that stops on step #2 instead of going all the way down. I can continue with the reasons for why it happened, but they don’t care anyway. I had to go to the ER to get checked out, vacation kind of ruined now.
If one of you were the owner yesterday; then shame on you for not checking on me, If you weren’t there, then you need to make some changes, because the atmosphere is cozy, but it is way expensive, $151 for 5 people and a 2 year old. ...
