Iâd like to start by saying the decor/environment is beautiful, and the bartender was very kind and informative. I came under the recommendation of a Friend. I decided on the catch of the day, and was shocked to find I ended up spending $42 for a singular piece of fish, with no sides whatsoever. I donât take issue in spending that much for an entree, if itâs worth it....but it absolutely wasnât considering there was NOTHING to eat it with. No rice, couscous, potatos, salad - nothing but a piece of lemon. My husband ordered the sweet potato, $18 for 4 below average sized potato wedges. I am very slow to dictate how any business should be pricing their products because I donât know their expenses, but Iâm confident in saying this was absolutely ludicrous. I love feeling good about spending my money on a good meal, but this wasnât it. By this standard, to get a full meal Iâd need to probably pay $70-$100 each. And at that cost, this place just wouldnât be my first choice in LA. I would try to rate it on a scale of 1â10 in terms of flavor, but there simply wasnât enough food to make an assessment, after...
Read moreI really wanted to like this place because itâs very cute and vibey but the service was abysmal.
The server, Edwin, said he would clean off a table for me and proceeded to not do it for 15 minutes. And no, it was not busy at the time. I actually had to request he clean it.
He then did not ask again if I needed anything after I ordered, if I wanted a box - I had to ask to order something else.
Finally he came over and handed my my check after I packed all of my things, making it obvious that I was ready to go.
It was insane. Meanwhile, heâs polite and chatty with the two other couples there. And yes, I still tipped 20% because that is an issue of supporting workers. But I wouldnât recommend it. Absolutely a shame. The person who served me a latte over at the coffee bar was so sweet too.
Finally, the food was pretty good. The layout of the cafe makes it most appealing - the service,...
Read moreI got the yoghurt (12$, with fruits, granola, cacao nibs, and dates) and the daily brew (4$). The only good thing about it was that there are free refills for the daily brew. The yoghurt came in a to-go container (despite me sitting in the cafe to avoid waste) and it was rather small. There were only 3 raspberries and a few blueberries and also barely any dates or granola. So I pretty much paid 12$ for a maybe 12oz bucket of yoghurt. Way too overpriced and absolutely not worth it!
The waiter is nice and service was good. However they disappeared for more than 30 minutes with no one at the counter. I saw people come in and wait only to leave again. Would be great if they had enough staff to have the...
