I was initially not allowed to take my foldable bicycle into the cloakroom. Continue on for more detail.

I arrived by bike at around 10.30pm - there were no queues, with a few people trickling in every so often. My friends were already inside celebrating a birthday. Now this bike is a very small, Tokyo Citizen foldable bike. No electric engine. As compact as a folded wheelchair. Of course, every establishment is different, but still worth to note that the bike has never been refused at Broadway, AMC, and St Patrick's Cathedral.

I approached the staff at the entrance with a normal attitude asking if it could be taken inside. The two door supervisors (one male, one female) had absolutely no idea how to react to my case, until a third male from the back emerged and categorically said no, with no reason given. I continued to insist, saying that even just keeping the bike on the inside of the barrier would be totally ok, and would hold no one to any liability. The only solution given was to leave the bike on the outside of the gate (i.e. in the street), and I was specifically told that if someone were to come up and steal it, they would do absolutely nothing about it. I want to heavily stress that at no point did I ever raise my voice, or use inappropriate language. I was not drunk either (how could I be, I cycled it there and planned to cycle it home afterwards...). At the first engagement, especially after that silly suggestion of theirs, I did leave off with a sarcastic ''thanks for being flexible'' comment, at the same time as they also sarcastically wished me a nice evening off. That's it.

I then waited about 15 minutes for three friends to arrive, and asked them to plead with the three door supervisors on my behalf. I didn't do any of the talking, but they did not appreciate that I had tried to get my friends (who remained extremely polite) to try again.

I was then ready to give up and leave, but decided to message my other friends already inside and celebrating a birthday about my situation. They all took an interest, unable to see why a tiny, foldable bike would not be let in, and one in particular spoke with reps inside the club and with the cloak room attendant. Of course, turns out it was no problem at all to admit the bike.

My friend and the cloak room attendant then make their way to the door supervisors, and convince them to let me take it in. The three supervisors retorted and accused me of being ''rude'', and of using my second friend as a mouthpiece, and continued heavily resisting letting me in until they eventually just had to concede. Even if we run with the lie that I was rude for a second, that argument revealed that they had absolutely no good reason to refuse my request. When I first asked them, it stands to reason that I was not rude at that point - I would have no reason to be; I ask once, and they let me take it in. The fact that they then accused me of being rude was not only offensive, but certainly not a good reason why I couldn't take a foldable bicycle into the cloakroom. What kind of policy is that?

What really prompted me here to share this story was the very last interaction. As I finally walked in, I thanked them regardless for conceding. The female just looked up to heaven, one male wished me a nice evening, whilst the other said ''keep walking brother don't talk to me, keep walking''. He didn't even bother to ID me as a result.

My friends had other, separate problems on the rooftop too, including not being designated a table we were promised. But I was not directly involved with those issues, so I will not comment further about them here.

Once all was said and done, we had a great time dancing to good music, but those three door supervisors were very close to dampening the mood...

Terrible service. I've never had to try and flag down the waitress or staff so much because mistakes just kept happening over and over again. Food was mediocre except the pink pancakes, but overall, our party left disappointed.

We had a party of 5 and ordered quite a lot for brunch. We were surprised the waitress didn't write anything down, but thought nothing of it as maybe she was an expert at remembering orders. 2 minutes after ordering, she comes back with a notepad and pen; and says she couldn't remember anything we ordered except for a drink pouch and the pink pancakes. Obviously that meant none of our orders were put in so we had to wait longer for food, which wasn't a problem at first.

After getting our mimosas and drinks, the waitress came back and told me they ran out of salmon so I had to order something else (orginally ordered house fries and veggies with salmon). Again, not a big deal, but we went for brunch at 12pm, and they literally opened at 11:30am. I shrugged it off and said I'll order the midtown breakfast instead.

When the food came out, they brought me the house fries and veggies with salmon so I was confused because the waitress said there was no more salmon. I took it anyways but had to flag down the waitress and advise they brought out the salmon so to make sure they didn't bring out the midtown breakfast or charge me for it. At this point, we still did not receive the pink pancakes. Literally 15 mins later, they brought out the midtown breakfast. We had to flag down the waitress again and told her, again, that we already received the salmon and they still brought out the midtown breakfast, which was no longer needed. She advised she would talk to the manager.

When we finished our plates, pink pancakes were still not out. It's been an hour at this point. We had to ask the 4th time if they had the order and she said yes, but never checked on it for us. Another 20 mins rolls by and they finally come out. The only thing they can make right is the pink pancakes because they were delicious. We did have to flag down staff several times because they came to clear plates and utensils already, but didn't give us new ones for the pink pancakes so we literally sat staring at the pancakes until someone brought over new ones.

Overall, 2 stars because service was not great, food was just okay, and drinks were highly overpriced for mimosas. Sure, the place and pink pancakes were instagrammable, but it was definitely not a great experience for...

I wanted to do some different for my friend's 40th birthday. I chose this location for the photo props and not because of their low-end menu. I had made a reservation four days prior. When we arrived at this restaurant, my bag was checked and I was told that I couldn’t bring my small professional camera to the restaurant. Their website does not state that consumers can’t bring professional cameras. Upon our arrival, we were escorted to an area that looked like a high-end community park. We were seated on a plastic hexagon picnic table wearing our cocktail dresses. I asked our waitress to tell me a little bit more about the prop’s areas. She quickly asked me for a credit card before leaving our plastic table and plastic cups behind. With all of the security posted everywhere, are people running away without paying? Or what? We walked around the establishments to do the pictures, and we realized they had a nicer dining area, but it was half empty. I am not sure who gets to seat in the nicer dining area. This was very strange to us. We ordered our food and we were missing utensils. My friends and I tried several times to get the attention of the servers. The servers were standing next to the bar and are talking with each other so they completely ignore customers. When I finally got the attention of a server, he turned his head and ignored me again. Honestly, at this point, I wanted to get up and leave this overrated restaurant. I didn’t want to ruin my friend’s birthday. Lastly, our waitress leaves for her work shift and drops the check without saying goodbye or introducing us to a different waitress. I don’t have the time to leave reviews for every restaurant that I’ve been to around the world, but I wanted to take a moment to let others know that if you are celebrating a special occasion, please make sure you get treated with respect and dignity. We are the consumers and they are still open...
