My wife and I had a pretty bad experience here. We frequent nice steakhouses often, and this was far from a good experience.
I will say, the restaurant is very nice. Great atmosphere and ambiance. You really feel as if you are at a high class steakhouse. And the service was world class.
The food, on the other hand, was a totally different story. We started with the bread and butter, which honestly was probably the best thing we had all night. It was fantastic.
I ordered French onion soup, which was tasty and warm. My wife ordered the crab cakes for her appetizer and thought they were fine.
For our main course, I ordered the 40 day dry aged ribeye with the roasted garlic crust. I was disappointed in my cut of meat, as I didn't feel it was properly trimmed after being dry aged. The edges were very hard and had a strange flavor. I have eaten many dry aged steaks before, and there was something not right about this steak. It also lacked seasoning which was disappointing. It was cooked to my liking, which was nice. However, the garlic "crust" was a joke. It's not a crust at all. It's just a spread they put on the steak after cooking, which didn't help at all.
My wife ordered the filet with no crust or sauce. It was cooked perfectly, however, there was so much black pepper burned onto it you would have thought she got a pepper crusted steak. It was very hard to eat with big chunks of burned black pepper that blew out our pallets.
For sides, we ordered three. Firstly, the black truffle risotto was very good. It has lots of flavor, and was a great compliment to the steaks.
The loaded mashed potatoes came out room temperature, so the cheese on them never melted. It felt like something you would get at Outback Steakhouse, maybe not even that good.
We also got the bacon cream corn, and it was totally not as described on the menu. It was more like a spicy corn chowder/soup. It wasn't necessarily bad, it just wasn't what we thought we were ordering.
Overall, if ambiance and service is a bigger deal than your actual meal to you, you will enjoy this place. We just can't justify going back after spending $250 on a meal we...

I am blown away by their quick response to my review and their desire to continually train to make their restaurant a safe place to dine. 5 stars for this attention to good service. Thank you!
We enjoyed our date night at Red Prime. The staff was very accommodating to my severe reaction to gluten and the menu was well marked. As much as I hate to criticize, I think it's important to mention that our waitress (who was kind and wonderful to us) put my leftover filet in with my husband's and his had a sauce that was not gluten free. Her service was still great but I'm really disappointed about this because I made my dietary needs known multiple times in our experience, including before ordering and asked for it to be marked with my order. I didn't even think to ask them to box separately because it didn't occur to me they would put my meal in with his instead of separate boxes.. I actually found it a little odd that that's standard. Anyways, I won't be able to eat my leftovers because of the cross contact. After spending well over $200 on dinner for two, it's a huge bummer to not be able to eat the other half of my filet. Her service was spectacular besides this.
The only other thing I wish had been different about our experience was where we were sat. We made a reservation for 6:45 and the dining room was pretty open at the time, but we were sat right next to two people on a business dinner who were very loud. I know the staff cant help the volume of guests but I thought it was odd that out of all the seats available we had to sit so close (I mean I was like two feet away since we shared the same booth). Our reservation did mark it was a special occasion dinner (for our anniversary), so that did bring down the experience for us.
I will definitely return for the food, and I would recommend Red PrimeSteak to others. I appreciate the kitchens safety measures for my dietary needs and the...
Read moreOn 10-19-22 we made a last minuet reservation for 6:30. This would be our first visit to Red Prime. My husband and I have dined a lot, at many fine restaurants across the US. We consider all things that make for special experiences. The first two being value for our money & service. Things were slightly off (food) during our visit, but nothing went without total rectification. The host station was properly manned and welcoming. My drink was perfectly poured by the bartender both times. I make special mention of Gavin and his assistant server. Both were knowledgeable, and they remained upbeat even after small mishaps.
I am unsure of the position Holly holds at your establishment. I hope it is upper management! She is perfect in the execution of making things right for your customers. We typically don't complain if food isn't right. We just choose not to return if it doesn't meet our expectations. Holly stood there while we cut our steaks. My filet was slightly under cooked, but not enough to require a refire. My husband's (I don't remember the cut🤔) was far from medium. Holly agreed, and she offered to cook the steak further. We totally understand that our belief isn't cost effective for the restaurant. We have our reasons for believing steaks should be prepared and served. Not to be put back on the grill if the temp at table isn't correct. When paying high dollar for steak, proper preparation is key...refire a new steak. My husband's words were different from mine above. She listened with grace to my husband's explanation as to why he would prefer not to send it for further cooking. She said she would check back with us. Holly returned as promised after Gavin checked on the status of our meal. My man NEVER allows things to be removed from our check...until Holly. The way Holly insisted was somehow effective. I couldn't believe my own ears!!! The service saved the evening, and that was reflected in the tip. We will return because of the way we were so kindly treated....
