I am beyond dissatisfied with the service I received here. I didn’t get the color I thought I would get at all. This was after I was assured that we would get pretty close to my ask. I started to get concerned when I realized that Emily didn’t put toner all over my hair. In the picture you can see where she missed a huge chunk near my ear. She missed the hair on the other side of my head as well and missed the hair at the nape of my neck. For some reason the toner didn’t take to my bleached hair at all, and so I insisted that it had to be done again. There was no way I was leaving the salon looking like a bleached yellow mess. I was sitting in the chair -having a panic attack that my hair hadn’t taken most of the toner when Emily asked “how are we feeling?” This made me angry because she had obviously done a bad job, and to me, it felt that she wasn’t owning up to it. While I was still reeling from this disaster, Esther started cutting my hair, she didn’t even ask where I liked to part my hair, and she barely brushed my hair at all to begin cutting. I asked for layers and they are the worst layers I have ever gotten. You can see that they’re not flattering at all and they don’t blend well together. I can’t wear my hair naturally anymore because this is how bad it looks when I don’t style it. To top it off, one side is significantly shorter than the other side. No matter which way I part my hair I can’t make it look flattering. I paid 190$ for this disaster, I’m sure I got the same quality of hair cut from a sports clips for $20 three years ago. I honestly don’t know how Esther is the manager. She ruined three years of growth. In the end they couldn’t even style my hair because they ran out of time after I insisted that the toner needed to be redone. I left the salon looking like a yellow, wet tangled mess. I had no idea what my final color or haircut looked like. I have never been treated this way in an “up-scale” salon. I do have to say that Esther offered to do a redo, BUT seeing that she did such a terrible job with my cut and she didn’t offer a discount even after they couldn’t style my hair, there was no way I was going back to that salon. Read moreHad extensions done with Stephanie and it has been an absolute nightmare. The extensions are constantly slipping out, she ruined my first set deconstructing them. She installed new ones and they have caused tension sores and are pulling out hair. It has been almost a week since I brought this to her attention and she said that she can not get me in until August 9th or 10th and told me to see if someone else would do it. On Friday she gave me a 4 hour notice that she had an opening and only because I reached out multiple times. I didn't even want them reinstalled, only taken out to prevent bald spots. She clearly does not care about protecting her clients hair. Complete waste of money. According to her the person in the salon teaching people how to do extensions has not been doing them that long either. I would not trust her with extensions. She is also offering discounts to clients for good reviews.
Updating my review, I was at no point refunded for extensions nor was I offered one. Bellami replaced the bad extensions at which point I asked what would happen if the new ones did not work out, I was ensured I would get a full refund. At this point, I paid almost $400 to have brand new extensions installed. Removing the "model" portion considering this was the 2nd install I paid for, I am almost $2000 in on these extensions. Back to my refund, when this hair was bad again, Juan told me I could not have a refund and he could get me a gift card. They have had my hair for two weeks and at no point have I been provided a gift card or a refund. I completely agree that after care is important, I asked Stephanie weekly if this was my fault and she ensured me I was doing everything that I could. I also asked Juan when he removed them if there was anything I was doing wrong and he had no new tips. Any reccomendation she made, I added to my routine. Including $800 worth of new products. My hair is not excessively oily, it is just like anyone else's hair. I took the liberty of adding Stephanie's response from Saturday August 3rd when I texted her with the issues on July 30th. Read moreWhen you ask for “Ash BROWN balayage” & end up walking out brassy bleach blonde; far too upset to even ask them to fix it or argue about pricing. Which overall would’ve been fair if I liked my hair or was notified a trim would be as much as a normal haircut which is another $75 on top of $130 for color- like a generous fool I am I still gave a small tip for the wasted three hours of time but compared to what I was planning on tipping it was just a drop in the bucket. Overall the total (plus the tip) was $230 which I payed quickly just to get out of there (without crying in front of everyone). I told Jon Bravo that all I want is an ash BROWN balayage & minor trim (for the dead ends). I also didn’t want ANY brass because it clashes with my Asian skin tone & I didn’t want super light/white tips.......somehow I ended up with everything I specified I didn’t want. He did apologize for leaving the toner in too long hence the large amount of gray but I definitely won’t be coming back again anytime...ever. I have a lot of brassy splotches all over my head & some parts of my hair are completely white! Not to mention the green-ish gray that’s covering majority of my head!!! I hadn’t been to a salon in over ten years due to some awful experiences but this one definitely takes the cake!!!!! I thought if I had researched what I wanted & looked into a highly regarded salons that I thought I could trust, I’d get the hair style I’ve really wanted for some time but the joke was on me apparently. Trying to end on a positive note- the shop as a whole isn’t bad. They offer you drinks & are even willing to run to your parking meter for you so you don’t have to run out mid appointment.
