My husband and I recently had a massage here and were not very impressed. To start, the guy who helped book our appointment seemed disorganized. After lots of back and forth in a live chat with him and then speaking with him on the phone the same day, it was pretty clear who our therapists would be the day of the appointment. We had specific requests. Fast forward to the day before our appointment, I called to confirm our appointment time and the therapists we would be with and was told they had switched our therapists.
I ended up speaking with the same person who originally booked us. I told him we should have received a courtesy call to let us know we would have different therapists. He then made excuses and said there were no notes in the system that we had requested specific therapists. Luckily, he was able to put us back with the same therapists, but how odd after the conversation we had previously.
The location is so awkward. In an apartment building? Really? Parking is very challenging. Good luck with that. The girl who came to greet us looked like she rolled out of bed and did not want to be there. Definitely not a warm, bubbly welcome. The massages from both our therapists were fast and aggressive as if they were in a huge hurry to please us. It was not relaxing. We've never experienced that before. Is this how they are all being trained? I thought it was just my therapist until my husband mentioned having a similar experience with his. Our therapists were friendly but their technique was extremely odd. Didn't care for the loud laughing outside the door either.
My massage therapist also pulled all of my toes until they popped. It was weird. Good way to give someone arthritis with that technique. Also, I did not enjoy being massaged with hot stones. Having stones slide across my neck and hands felt rough. One of my fingernails was scraped on the top because of this. Typically, hot stones are placed and then left for a few minutes while another area is worked on. Rubbing the skin with stones is not ideal. We continued to be polite and gave them a decent tip, but we would never go back. For the price, we expected a lot more. Not tranquil or luxurious at all. Underwhelming and a cheap vibe overall, despite the...
Read moreMy fiancé and I came out to Zen'd Out for a couples massage to celebrate our engagement. When I tell you it's unfair to have to cap our rating at 5 stars, I mean it. My fiancé and I have both had many massages, typically walking away feeling indifferent - they always feel good during, but we don't usually leave feeling any different. When we walked into our massage room, rose petals covered the floors and roses were placed on the massage beds. We got to smell and choose which aromatherapy oil we wanted and choose any additional add-ons to our massage, like facials, CBD massage oil, cupping, etc. We had Elena (I hope I'm spelling that right) and Abby as our massage therapists. They introduced themselves and took a moment to ask us individually about injuries, areas we wanted to focus on, what we were wanting, etc. After that, they left the room for us to get undressed and settled onto the heated beds. When the massage was over, my fiance and I looked at each other and agreed they might have been the best massages we've ever had. Some parts of the massage felt painful, but with immediate release and relief afterwards, which is exactly what I was hoping for with the deep tissue I requested. I especially loved the focus on my glutes, quads, and feet. My fiance noted how Abby, his therapist, guided his breathing with her own breath work that really helped him relax and release. After the massage, we were offered hot towels and were greeted with champagne and chocolate covered strawberries. They also offer bellinis, mimosas, tea, water, etc. Our therapists took a moment to come over to us and discuss areas of tension they noticed in our bodies and ways to help alleviate that tension outside of massage. They congratulated us multiple times on our engagement, which, as a newly engaged couple, it's all we want to hear and talk about, so that meant a lot to us. We were sent home with little bags of scented Epsom salts. Overall we left floating on air and feeling amazing, joking about what time our next one was. We will absolutely be returning and cannot scream our recommendations...
Read moreThis place is absolutely amazing! The customer service and the massage is impeccable. Could not recommend this place more.
My partner and I received a couples massage and it was one the best experiences we have had for a date night. We were a bit nervous since we had never had a couples massage, but the atmosphere and people made you feel so comfortable.
As soon as we walked in, the whole place was dimly lit with Himalayan salt lamps, had aroma therapy smells, and it was immediately relaxing.
We were greeted friendly by Isabelle and shown to our room. Which was also immediately relaxing with soothing music, soft lighting, and good smells. Isabelle gave us choices of aroma therapy we wanted and gave us our choice of drink. We chose red wine. We had time to relax in comfy chairs and enjoy our wine before our therapists walked in.
They greeted us, went over our preferences and let us know that if at any point the temperature or pressure was too much or not enough then to let them know. Maria and Kaelyn were fantastic and very professional. My partner said it was the best massage he ever had and I couldn’t agree more. My partner is always very tense and he left saying he felt like a new man.
Kaelyn was also great with my concern of allergies. She made sure ahead of time that anything going on my skin was safe and she also made sure I wasn’t allergic to the chocolate covered strawberries without me having to ask. As someone with a lot of allergies, I always feel like a burden asking about every little ingredient, but Kaelyn went above and beyond to ensure everything was safe without me even asking.
After our massage, they gave us plenty of time to get dressed before they had us sit down to unwind with some wine and chocolate strawberries. There even was a beautiful customized card for us and epsom salt to take home. We loved the wine so much that Isabelle brought out the bottle for us so we see what wine it was to buy it ourselves.
My partner and I already plan to come back for our next anniversary! We will definitely be requesting Maria and Kaelyn for our next...
