The Lost Room Escape Adventures — Attraction in Helen

I've done around 10 escape rooms now with my boys, from corporate to mom and pop, and this one was certainly one of our top experiences. Also, this is one of the more cheaper rates, but don't let that make you think it won't be a top level escape experience!

Our group of 7 enjoyed the owners thorough and funny review, were led into the Grimm room with 3 experienced players and 4 newbies, and the timer started. Lazarus kept heckling us throughout the experience, which added to the fun. The heckling was actually clues, veiled in language like "that guy can't count", "That guy STILL can't count", "that is NOT sudoku", and "I don't think he knows what sudoku is" Hilarious and so fun.

The owner talked about multi-linear games, which means you can work on multiple things at once, this was certainly the best way to do it in a room with 7 guys. There are things that were solved I had no part of, but good thing, or we never would have made it out in time.

He has his ways of adapting the room difficulty level to your experience. We were doing so well, he had to crank it up mid puzzle. Amazing that was even possible!

We recently visited The Lost Room Escape Adventures in Helen, GA, and had an incredible time tackling the Grimm room! From start to finish, the experience was top-notch.

The room itself was beautifully designed with creative and challenging puzzles that kept us engaged and on our toes the entire time. It struck the perfect balance between being difficult enough to feel rewarding but not so overwhelming that it became frustrating. Every clue felt purposeful and contributed to the overall experience.

The staff was another highlight—they were welcoming, enthusiastic, and clearly passionate about making sure we had a great time. Their explanations were clear, and they set the tone for an immersive adventure.

The facilities were also excellent—clean, well-maintained, and thoughtfully arranged. It’s clear that attention to detail is a priority for this team, not just in the escape room itself but in the overall customer experience.

If you’re into escape rooms or just visiting Helen, we highly recommend giving The Lost Room Escape Adventures a try. The Grimm room was challenging and so much fun; we can’t wait to go back and try...

Indie Escape Room Studio. Hands-on owner. All custom rooms/puzzles. Puzzles are modified on-the-spot for groups of less than four players and can be completed by groups of two (though they will be more difficult).

The set work is fantastic. The rooms flow well and keep with their themes. The puzzles will make you think but don't require a logistician to complete. No fake-outs either. If you're working on a puzzle you're always making progress in solving the room.

Not everyone wins! If you fail a room you get the option of seeing what you missed but you don't get to finish the room yourself if you go over time.

That said clues are free and continuous. The game master won't solve puzzles FOR you but is happy to consistently point you in the right direction or confirm suspicions.

Overall a fantastic experience. Lost Room has set a new bar for me in what to expect out of other escape rooms in attention to asthetic, sense of engagement, in-room interaction, and novel ways of thinking while in the room.
