In August of 2014 we stayed 2 nights in the Blue Room, Green Room, and Red Room at Hotel Bila Pani, or "White Lady", in the old town part of Cesky Krumlov. We were there during an international music festival, so rooms were scarce. Our rooms were all large, clean and comfortable with nice bathrooms. Breakfasts were delicious and filling and served outdoors on the terrace. Beware Europeans like their eggs runny, and I don't just mean the yolks, so if you order eggs they are not going to be fully cooked. The red room held a young couple and their 3 and 5 year old children. The green room held a mother daughter and 3 year old granddaughter. The blue room held a mother daughter and has a balcony that overlooks the old castle and the red tile roofs of the city. The owner helped to transport us to a canoe rental site so we could canoe down the Vltava River. The only negative is the female owner has quite a temper. She was upset with how we checked in and spent at least 30 minutes loudly berating our Czech relatives about it. 4/5 stars for location, comfort, cleanliness, great vacation spot, value for the money, view of the castle from blue room, and friendliness of male owner. 1 star off for initial prolonged inappropriate reaction of female owner. If you are driving in, it would be best to get directions for where to park and how to walk to the hotel from parking. Old Town Cesky Krumlov is small. Don't count on GPS to get you once you reach the city. Traffic is very limited within old town and within the city gates, and you are not allowed to park in old town. The female owner speaks good English. The male owner speaks good German and fair English. Our Czech relatives reserved these...

Read moreWe found this B&B to be quite looking old and spooky. The owners were very nice and prepared a good breakfast every morning. To go to your bedroom, you need to enter the main door, pass another door after a flight of stairs and enter your room after another flight of stairs, that meant 3 keys to get into your room. It was did not have a 24 hour reception desk,. The owners were there only in the morning to prepare breakfast. The place looked gloomy and dreary. We wanted to go to another place. Seriously, we were not happy with this accomodation. The furniture in the room looked old too. Also, room was not cleaned everyday. Another important thing was the bedsheet was uncomfortable...
