Folklore-Show im Restaurant Michal

Prior to visiting Prague in Sept. 2024, I exchanged multiple emails with the owner (who has perfect English) to gather details, make my reservation and select my fish-based meal. The evening was the one the thing I most anticipated about my trip, as I love folk music and dances. I requested a good seat for seeing the performance, as I'm a photographer. My table was next to the stage and provided a perfect view of the dancers, the band (fiddle, hammered dulcimer and upright bass) and the roomful of dining tourists. The food was tasty. A bottle of award-winning local white wine and an herby aperitif were provided. I enjoyed the entire evening! The enthusiasm of the 20+ Aussie students really spiced up the end of the evening. The music was wonderful, and I especially enjoyed the dancers and their costumes. My only unfulfilled wish was an introduction to each dance and the accompanying costumes to understand their backgrounds. I assumed they were from different areas of the country. It was a delightful experience! I would happily...

I came here with my boyfriend, and we had the most wonderful evening at Restaurant Michal! Coming all the way from Canada, we were hoping for something authentic, and this was beyond our expectations. We enjoyed a delicious four-course meal, every dish was fresh, flavourful, and prepared with such care.

What made the night truly unforgettable was the entertainment. We were treated to a live performance, and then the staff even taught us a little dance routine, which was so much fun to join in. To top it off, we played a lighthearted game that had everyone smiling and laughing.

We also absolutely loved the owner, she was the sweetest person ever and made us feel so welcome, like we were part of her family. The warmth, kindness, and hospitality here are unmatched. Restaurant Michal is the perfect mix of amazing food, heartfelt hospitality, and joyful experiences. It’s a memory we’ll carry with us forever....
