8 years ago my family and I took a trip to St. Thomas. We came across Kay’s Fine Jewelry while walking down the street of the many different jewelry stores the island has to offer. Best decision we made. My mom upgraded her engagement/wedding set while my dad sat by her sipping on the rum punch they make in-house. Mash was so helpful in this process and made my parents feel confident and secure with the purchase. We all look back on this trip fondly.
Fast forward to May of 2024 and we decided to visit St. Thomas again. Of course Kay’s was on our list of places we had to visit. The first thing my parents noticed was that the same person who helped them all those years ago was standing behind the counter, it was Mash! He made their experience so memorable last time that they recognized him immediately. He met us with the same smile and kind, helpful attitude. We all walked away very happy; especially my dad who got some more of the rum punch he’s been craving for the last 8 years. Try it, it’s seriously that good!
I’m not one to typically write reviews, but I (and my family) truly love this place so much. Every single person in Kay’s is so kind and truly wants you to have the best experience possible. Our group felt so comfortable with them and knew we were in good hands from our previous visit. They really do make you feel like family and I can’t imagine going to any other jeweler. We trust them and would highly recommend them to anyone who will listen.
While this is a review for the business as a whole, the relationship we’ve gained with Mash has made us all...
Read moreThis particular Kay's Jeweler's store is located on "main Street" and sits next to King Christian Walk - an official COLONIAL walk way to traverse to and from Queen Street to the shoreline. You see, as Mr. CALYPSO COCONUT has said, "the First Street now named Garden Street was a gutter." So, I guess King Christian was walked by pirates such as Black Beard! OMG(gosh)!
Well, back to the subject. This jewelry store is of course a franchise that has a latitudinal style and selection of it sister and brother stores. However it is trying to merchandise baubles of such that are unique to its demographics.
With so many competitors on this famous jewelry strip rivaling the Diamond District in New York for many years in the past and still today to some, however lesser degree, there are lots of bargains, due to duty free status, the high volume and margins, passed on to the consumer.
Kay's Jewelers is breaking the mold. Some of their diamonds are exclusive cuts and designs. The market always demands more also due to historical momentum from almost a century of retail gems and jewellery sales in the marketplace.
Before you walk into Kay's look up and take a picture of the buildings design. You will be amazed at the beautiful Colonial architecture that rivals any diamond, if you were...
Read moreHad the distinct pleasure of stopping in Kay’s Fine Jewelry in St Thomas this week during our cruise. Picked this itinerary to be able to visit with Amar and Vick and their crew and check out the latest bling at Kay’s. We always pick island stays and cruises to be able to visit with our Kay’s family! We’ve been working with Kay’s now for over 20 years and we’re honored to be considered part of the Kay’s family. We’ve visited and purchased at all their locations except for Grand Cayman and have that on our radar for our next trip. Shopping at Kay’s is an experience unlike other retailers you may encounter in port or on ship. It’s a no pressure environment and their jewelry speaks for itself. Appraisals at home come in much higher than what we’ve paid. They’ve handled some customization work for us and friends on heirloom and sentimental pieces keeping memories alive for future generations. Kay’s is interested in your repeat business and not trying to take advantage of you like the other stores will. We love their upgrade program where they’ll give you 100% of what you paid on your prior purchase with them in case you need to “bring on some bigger bling” !!! Thanks again Vick, Amar and team for a great day...
