Under new management. New owner was very friendly / nice. My wife initially came out to see the bear outside, which has been a mainstage of this location under the previous management. My understanding is that the old owners sold the business and the new owner did not want to buy into the overpriced franchise; therefore, they franchise owners took the old bear back. Dumb, but I kinda get it. So the bear is now in Colorado I believe. They're definitely missing something outside. Comparing the new from the previous establishment, I would agree with most of the previous comments. Chocolate selection is still decent, but not as plentiful at the previous business. The taste of the chocolate is okay, but something slightly different about the taste that I couldn't put my finger on. My wife had the candied apple and thought it was just fine. I had a caramel covered in salted chocolate. Not a bad place, but missing some...
Read moreSadly this is the worst review I have given thus far. Very overpriced for poor quality and tasting items . If I could give the desserts I ordered a 0 I would. I was excited to try the macarons yesterday. I ended up ordering 1 of each (6) which came out to $24. For $4 a macron I expected much more. Not too sure how long they were out for, but they were all extremely hard. I took a small bites of each one after having a bite of the first one, and they were not edible. I am not exaggerating when I say I hurt my tooth when biting into the first one as I bit down expecting them to be soft as macrons should be. I would probably not go back to try anything else at this location ever again. Others in my party also ordered sweet treats that were stale...
Read moreHow is this place still in business??? We wanted to pick up some sweets for the ride home before we left town. We bought the 6 macaroons for $24, 1 Carmel apple and 1 small piece of walnut chocolate. Total cost was $37. The macaroons were extremely disappointing, super dry, crumbled when you bite into them. The Carmel apple was only have dipped in Carmel. The walnut chocolate piece was ok. I’m honestly surprised this place is still in business with the quality of products they are selling. I would recommend NOT going here. You will be disappointed if you are looking for a small town sweet shop with great...
