I was drawn in by the cute, flowy cotton tops and dresses here. They have some jewelry, dust collectors, hats, and such. There are three shops all connected to one another halfway down the building.
The blond lady in the first section, which caters towards juvinile females, was watching me like she expected me to tear or steal something. Feeling rather unwelcome (I had no bag or purse and wore a simple cotton shirt and shorts), I scooted to the next one over...Paprika. There are a bunch of cute clothes here. It's damn hard to find cute cotton tops and dresses so when I found one I particularly liked, after seeing a different style in 2x on the clearance rack...I asked if there was an extra-large in stock.
The young ladies there were put out that I bothered them but started to grab a hook as the article in question was high up, until I stated the size. The one holding the hook looked at me like this was an unrealistic request, and paused before stating nothing goes over a large. I pointed out the 2x sizes on the clearance rack rack and she stated those are rare exceptions.
More than half the women wandering Leavenworth are either larger or large chested, like myself. I find it a bit rediculous that the only clothing avail if you are in that situation, is a baggy, doudy, polyester t-shirt, loudly proclaiming the city across ample cleavage.
I guess the clothing shops in Leavenworth cater to the slim and young only. I guess the rude staff should have alerted me.

Read moreVisiting Leavenworth over the years I’ve stopped in at this shop a number of times and I’ve always liked it. This boutique offers a nice selection of stylish bohemian clothing, cutesy gifts, and accessories. The first time I stopped in here as a teen I remember being infatuated with their selection of denim and souvenirs. Their handmade gifts start at about $15 now which include small candles, wallets, and handmade trinkets and jewelry. The clothing size range at this store runs a bit petite now ranging from sizes 0-12. They used to carry a lot of different styles of jeans going up to size 14 and have since limited how much denim and sizes they carry. I’d say the craftsmanship and quality of their goods is really great but they have increased the prices with not much change to the product. I remember the souvenirs running for 10 bucks or less, now the same gifts go for $15 and up. The two neighboring stores Jt Blu Boutique and PineHill Mercantile are also pretty neat and are worth stopping in to browse and purchase unique gifts. If you’re a teen, young adult or have some younger people in your life this shop is the perfect place to find an interesting gift or one of a...
Read moreBad customer experience. We have been loyal customers for years and always buy items 2-3 times a year we come through. Bought some items some fragile the associate pushed them my way with no care for wrapping them. Didn’t offer me a bag either. Come to find out it’s .8cents for a bag which is no big deal for me. It wasn’t offered as part of my transaction. The girl was really rude about it. I found another person and told her about my experience. She didn’t care she told me the person was having a bad day and the whole bag charging is tough. She told me basically to deal didn’t care. I again had no issues with the bag charging it wasn’t offered when she rang everything up. I also offered to give her the .8cents. My point is there was no reason for her to be rude bad day or not. The lesson forward is just offer the bag for .8 cents and provide better service for fragile items. I don’t expect a lot. We won’t...
