6XS COFFEE DTLA — Restaurant in Los Angeles

This place is so great. Best matcha Imve ever had and the best croissant with ham and cheese I’ve had in a long time. The staff is so incredibly nice and really good out of their way to make everyone feel welcomed. The decor is so cute and is a great place to WFH from.

The only reason I didn’t give it 5 stars is because the music was absolutely blaring when I visited, to the point where it was distracting and impeded other people from talking to each other. The song choice was also not super appropriate, since it was rap songs with pretty risqué and / or violent lyrics. If they just lowered the volume so it’s more of background noise, instead of the main thing everyone is overwhelmed by, the place would be great. If they changed it to something slightly more amenable, that’d be perfect. I’m hoping it was just a one-off.

I tried very hard to like this coffee shop since it’s a block from where I live but unfortunately the service is horrible every time I come here. It’s clear they’re understaffed which is reflected in the long wait times for coffee and food, even when you place a pickup order ahead of time. Today after waiting 20 mins for my coffee I was told it would be ready in another 10 mins. Well that turned into 45 mins and I finally gave up and had DoorDash cancel my order. I've tried going here multiple times to give it a chance but every time, it takes 30 min for one cup of coffee. I usually just get 1 iced americano and the wait is always over 30 min. I never write reviews but I just had to for this one cause I've never in my whole life experienced this slow of a service at a cafe. The other reviews about long wait time is not wrong. If you love wasting time and waiting, this is the place for you. Otherwise, go to Phil's Coffee or Andante Coffee or Ideology Coffee which are all close by. 0/10 DO...
