Destroys your films without calling you first. After only 30 days NO ACTUAL PROFESSIONAL SCANNING SERVICE EVER DESTROYS NEGATIVE/INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY WITHOUT CALLING YOU FIRST. THATS A BIG INDUSTRY NO NO they use a dslr/mirrorless camera to scan, not a real scanner. Years of physical assets gone. Plus being closed all the time. They got a great scanner setup that produces quality scans but it’s not worth it if my assets are at risk because the place is always closed when I have time to pickup. They destroyed the wrong person’s film not just mine. Kodak’s main FB groups are going to be on fire They only extend to 60 days btw
Owner is lying, I professionally scan and process 16mm motion film with a real scanner for a living and I have a closet and storage unit filled with people’s films from years ago. I am a smaller business and I don’t even throw away dead people’s film. Keep to selling furniture and incense because that’s all ur good at.
Honestly considering a lawsuit because no contract was signed that...
Read morePost Mix Film Lab is my primary lab for developing and scanning film! They offer camera scans which I really appreciate since I love the quality and full scale resolution that they provide (I provided some sample photos)! As far as I know, they are the only film lab in the LA area that offer this unique service! The owner, Omar, is passionate about film photography and strives to develop and deliver your quality scans in a short turnaround period! They also sell film at their location and offer a 24/7 drop off (just be sure to provide your own bag and piece of paper to place your film in and write the order number on). Lastly, their revamped website is laid out in a modern and easy to use format. Remember, if you would like them to keep your negatives for more than 30 days, be sure to inform them as they have a policy to dispose negatives after 30 days without notice due to space conservation. Hope you all try...
Read moreI've been to countless film labs. This lab is like no other truly. The service at Postmix is mad chill and as a LA native, it takes time for me to warm up to others. I enjoy the conversations about photo life. If you ever have the time, pick the mind of who's taking your order because I've learning so many small details such as when to push and pull expired film, lighting techniques and many more things. Stop by, and one more tip - if they ask if you want the 1day service or the 3 day, I'd choose 3 day because the scans come back with a higher quality due the different scanners. Of course if you need you photos faster, the 1 day service quality...
