The garlic naan was solid, but everything else left me wondering what happened to care in cooking.
I ordered two chicken tikka masalas, two chicken curries, and the garlic naan. The naan was the only thing that felt fresh or worth keeping. The curries, on the other hand, just didnât land. Both tasted like bland cream with boiled dark meat chicken thrown inânothing balanced, no depth. It didnât feel like something made with intention. It felt like food made to check a box. And while I canât prove anything definitively, I got sick the same night and into the next day. Nausea, upset stomach, full-on diarrhea. I hadnât eaten much else, so itâs hard to ignore the timing.
Even setting that aside, the flavor alone was enough to call this a miss. I ended up throwing out everything except the naan, which says a lot. I wouldnât order again, and I honestly just hope they take more care with how the food is prepared. Because right now, itâs not something Iâd...

That would be a tough act to follow but Curry Boys passes the test! We got take-out for our inaugural visit, and selected a variety of the curries (lamb, chickpea, paneer, chicken tika Masada), and some delicious rice to go with it. Our dining experience once we got home was absolutely deeeelicious, and we will definitely be returning! I'm glad to see that a staple of our neighborhood (Chuan Chim), if having to close down after such a long time, was replaced by a unique, different, and very welcome and scrumptious eatery!
