On the corner of Hollywood and Gramercy, (two blocks West of Western), is my coffee shop find and favorite for 2023:

It has a spacious, artsy, and inviting interior where you can sit at the table or recline on the couch. The food offerings are attractively priced, with tasty regular fare, and an unexpected specialty offering of a Korean BBQ sandwich. Thanks to the Korean-born owner for this delicious menu item, and sharing her homeland culinary secrets. Real deal Korean barbecue.

The customer service? Well, it's really as good as it gets. The team that served me today was JARED and JAVI. Devilishly handsome without conceit, Intelligent, and fun. What more could you ask for?

I saw the Dynamic Duo in operation for some time today, and they are good. They are nice to everyone, give individualized suggestions if you want them, and thank you for your patronage. They say THANK YOU . . . . How refreshing.

Yes, Customer Service is alive and well, at least here at the Sabor y Cultura Coffeshop at Hollywood and Gramercy in the 90028.

While interactions at the counter may fluctuate, the manager remains the unwavering fulcrum, a tacit force ensuring an imperceptible yet preternatural rhythm that sustains the sanctuary's equanimity. Her unostentatious, concentrated energy undergirds the pervasive ambiance of effortless panache.

I was just there and I’m so upset by the terrible customer service I received. I came in and the cashier was on the phone and proceeded to tell me to wait for over 7 minutes for her to finish arguing about an order she had versus taking my order. Finally, when I’m about to leave because this is ridiculous, she hangs up and offers a two worded apology and I order a waffle. Then she says “it’s gonna be awhile. I’ll tell you when it’s done” with as much kindness that I could muster, my reply was “you could’ve taken my order this entire time and it would’ve been ready.” She gets annoyed and walks away as if I’M the problem here. Never did she think to comp the $7 waffle for the minutes she stole from my life waiting on her or even to offer a coffee or tea. That’s the least you could do. Get a waffle elsewhere - Mustard Seed is pretty good
