As a long-time supporter of the public train serviceI I purchased like 200+ tickets while I was working at downtown approximately 10–15 years ago. These tickets were never used and brand new.
Recently I noticed them and called to check/verify if they are still valid. Surprisingly I was told they are not valid anymore. The tickets do not have any printed expiration date, nor was I ever notified of a time limit or policy change that would render them invalid through letter or email. At the time of purchase, I reasonably believed they would remain valid indefinitely.
Now I just lost like hundreds of dollars prepaid 15 years ago not counting the inflation. I found this unacceptable as a public service/utility service.
UPDATE:
A manager from Customer Service instructed me to mail in the ticket which I did. Then they ask me if I had the receipt from 15-20 years ago, which I do not apparently. So I just gave up and simply requested them to mail the tickets back to me. After three emails and two weeks later they simply ignored me and seems like they want to keep to ticket w/o giving me the refund, to sell to the the next customer? Seems ridiculous dishonest and...
Read moreThe guard/front door employee was extremely uncaring and lacked a sense of reasonableness. There were 6 people standing under cover of the canopy that would accommodate hundreds during the passing thunderstorm yesterday and he came out and kicked everyone off the property because it’s private property. This was during a thunderstorm. There may be policies they have so as not to attract others to their station that they deem undesirables but it seems if that’s the case it’s at the expense of common decency and reasonableness. The storm was a blip on the radar at the time and we just wanted to stay safe and dry for another 10 minutes until it passes but that was unacceptable apparently. Very poor community relations and lack of compassion...
Read moreI've been commuting to work via the Music City Star for a year now and I love it. The previous reviewer was complaining about not ever being able to be late - it's a train! It leaves on time! I suppose they want everyone to wait for them and delay the train? There have only been a handful (maybe 5) occasions within the last year of the train actually being late. CMA fest (and large festivals like it) causes train delays because the buses that connect with the train are stuck in traffic. The train hasn't broken down once since I've been riding it and save for one idiot getting stuck on the tracks, no accidents or incidents. It's a fabulous way to commute now that traffic has become a nightmare in this...
