My wife and I went there to have a celebration dinner. Now it's 1:00 a.m. and I'm sitting on the toilet celebrating the fact that I made it into the bathroom before I made a mess on our scraped pine floors. As soon as I walked in the door I discovered that the floors were incredibly slick. Apparently whoever mopped started in the kitchen and just spread grease over the entire restaurant floor. My shoes were wet because it was raining outside and I did the splits right there in the breezeway. I should have just turned around and left based on that omen, but I didn't. The rug in the breezeway was crumpled up and despite the fact that the hostess noticed I slipped because the traction rug was wadded up and pushed to the side she didn't bother straightening it up for the next person. We ordered drinks and the Tower of Onion Rings. Our onion ring appetizer was delivered within a few minutes by a weird looking dude with an afro. He walked out of the kitchen with the onion rings sat them on our table without stopping and kept walking. He may have walked right out the front door. To be honest I'm not entirely sure he actually worked there. But he didn't give us plates which they typically do with the appetizers so I had to ask another staff for plates because I didn't want to eat off the table like a heathen. I ordered the Scorpion Burger because it is touted in their menu as being a very spicy sandwich. The burger that I received was bland and unseasoned, topped with a mixture of shredded lettuce and mayonnaise. None of the promised jalapenos or pepper jack cheese, etc were to be found. And it was room temperature. I didn't send it back because it was really late and I had to get back home to Paul so I can turn around and get up at 6:00 and head back into Twin. So I sprinkled on some of the seasoning they have at the table and just finished about half of it. I also had the Bottomless Steak Fries which were undercooked and unseasoned but at least they were undercooked sometime prior to lunch because they were greasy and stale as well. It wasn't incredibly busy and they had two more hours to go before they closed so naturally all the wait staff congregated at the front desk to stand around yapping and ignoring the few customers that were there. As suggested previously I'm writing this from my bathroom where I'm spraying diarrhea into my toilet and eating Tums which will eventually settle my rolling stomach. Hopefully my wife isn't in the other bathroom having a similar experience. So thanks for the crummy $50 meal, so-so service, dangerous floors, kitschy decorations, diarrhea and an...
Read moreWe have eaten at Red Robin in both Idaho and Washington and love everything we have ever eaten there. Nowhere have I had an experience like Twin Falls, ID. Maybe it was a bad hair day for them, who knows. I think the manager realized it was a bad day for the crew and refunded our payment. The 5 stars for service is earned the manager. We didn't ask to speak to her, she just knew there was a problem and handled it. Very professional. We will be there again for a second chance. Red Robin is one of our favorite places. UPDATE 4/9/2024 Took a chance on trying Red Robin again. Not sorry we did, but once again we had issues. First, a very friendly and gracious hostess, Kay, seated us. The day looked good. Waitress, Bonnie, chatted with her buddies at the bar and absolutely ignored us for about 15 mins. . Hostess saw us sitting there with no drinks and went to give waitress the drink order. Drinks arrived, gave our order while we had waitress at table. We love their Fish and Chips and today they were superb. Never saw the waitress again till it was time to pay bill. Food was brought by Hostess, dessert ordered on Ziosk was brought by Hostess. Only reason we saw Waitress was because she went to collect her tip off the table next to us. Plates were collected by Hostess. There were only 3 tables occupied so this was not a heavy lift for one person. One regret, my wife would not let me put a nice round 0 for a tip when I paid the bill - on Ziosk. I would not keep this woman on staff. Somebody does not have control of the front of this restaurant. To summarize, Hostess excellent, Food excellent therefore kitchen excellent, waitress? What waitress? By the way, $3,39 for soda water?...
Read moreCame in tonight, We arrived at a little after 5:00 to give us plenty of time to miss the evening rush. The hostess walked us to a table. We had two kids (ages 2 and 5) which require assistance and I asked for a booth. After some audible grumbling, the hostess sat us at a booth. Bonnie was our waitress. Things started off well, she seemed attentive at first. When our food was delivered, she refilled our drinks for the first and only time of the visit. We were never tended to again. After we were finished with our entree, my wife and I wanted another serving of fries, they are bottomless after all. We both wanted drink refills as well. We did see Bonnie floating around and tending to the tables around us but we were never approached and when we attempted to get her attention, we were ignored. About 20 minutes after we were finished with our food, our table was bussed, while we were still sitting there. The person who bussed our table complained to us that the restaurant was super busy. About an hour passed since we last had contact with Bonnie and she approached our table asking if we would like refills. I’ll admit, I was a bit snarky with her and told her we had been waiting quite a while for drinks and fries but we’d just like the check. The remark seemed to go straight over her head. She pressed a couple buttons on the tablet and gave us our check, which was wrong. It took me another 10 minutes to find Bonnie to ask her to fix our check and another 5 for her to actually do so. In all, we were there for about an hour and a half, 45 of which was dead time where we were waiting for either refills or a check—with two kids (2 and 5). We will not be back to...
