It is simply phenomenal!! Everything about this place is astonishing, in how they turned a comparably small place into such an amazing restaurant. The food, the service, the decorations are all incredible. Let’s start with food. Our table was filled to the brim, and everything got eaten. Every dish was made to perfection, spice was regulated idealy and flavors were hitting that perfect spot. They even helped us out by suggesting the best choices. Service was also at another level. Server was helpful and fun. Took multiple photos of us and helped out with dish selection. He also gave us a free shot for the ladies! On the topic of drinks, I can mention the extensive variety of tequila and the knowledgeble servers who know and understand their stock. We even took a picture of the tequila bottle that was served to buy it as it was simply delicious. Now moving on to the most fun part is the decor and vibes of the place. The second you enter this establishment you are hit with a warm, cozy and inviting sense (and with an amazing scent that makes your stomach growl). It is decorated astonishingly and the music is so cheerfull that it makes you eat more and faster. Overall, I extremely encourage you to try this place as we were left full, satisfied and happy. Thank you!

As far as Mexican vibe goes, Cantina was pretty good - busy, packed and lively, to the point the place felt very tight and crowded. This is were the good ends unfortunately. The staff was attentive, however not going over the moon to make sure we are happy (the waiter just shrugged us off on the first day when he didn't have any tables immediately available). Staff speaks little to no English (thankfully menu is in English too). WHY WOULD YOU NOT ACCEPT CASH IN 2022??? 👀 For me, there's just no excuse. Apart from the hassle to find the bloody ATM, pay the horrid fees etc., I simply CANNOT order anything more if i don't have any more money on me... Starters (nachos with salsa and jalapeno poppers) were ok-ish. Jalapeno cheese filling was good, but the crust lacked any moisture. Pico de Gallo was a bit bland. Tacos with chicken and beef were both ok, but it seems to me they just used the same meet as for the fajitas and that's it. Their taste was saved by some black bean paste on the bottom, but otherwise they didn't resemble any of the classics or presented anything "new" in my book. Rather a disappointment. Margarita was ok, although no wow effect either. I will not be back and I will recommend to avoid.

Everything about Cantina was great - the atmosphere, the service, the food (we had fried jalapeños, chicken fajitas, and lomo de cerdo) and even the cute gecko tiles in the bathroom were cool! The virgin strawberry margarita was so-so. To be honest, two things ruined the experience: firstly, it's cash only. In 2023, in the centre of a European capital! It's bizarre. Secondly, the portions were huge and I couldn't finish the fajitas, so I made a huge pile of my leftovers to take home. They took a while to bring them back boxed up and we were a little suspicious at first that they'd forgotten, but didn't think anything of it. On arrival home, I realised they had boxed up someone else's beef leftovers! Instead of just admitting that they'd probably accidentally thrown mine out! I'd much rather they'd just told us because for all they knew, I could've had an allergy to beef. There was way less than what I'd saved and honestly it just put a weird downer on the experience. It's also a pretty expensive place, which we didn't mind, but after that we probably wouldn't go back.

Be very wary of this place before dining in. Read the negative reviews as they all have a similar theme- staff and shady business practices. First there is no mention of the restaurant being cash only other than a small sign on a corner wall. No one mentioned it to us as we ate our meal. It was a bit bizarre that a group with 2 large husky dogs came and sat at the corner table. The dogs sat beside them and another table. The couple sitting at that table left as they did not like the dogs sitting so close to them. We ate and asked for our bill. He gave us the bill and told us the service charge wasn’t included. I noticed a 79Kc for iced lemon water. We asked for tap water with the meal. We asked our waiter what the charge was and why they would charge for tap water more than the other restaurants in the area charge for bottled water. He shrugged and said it was the owners decision and he couldn’t do anything. He left, I noticed I didn’t have the right change so asked at the till for change for a 500kc. The bartender ignored me at first, then said we are a restaurant we don’t have change. Huh? You are a cash only restaurant but don’t have change? Another waiter gave me change. After that we decided no tip. We left the amount of the bill. Such a bizarre way to treat paying customers. Now I’ve read some other reviews I see these tactics are targeting tourists. They also mark up the price if you chose to pay in Euro (we...

The staff laughed at us when we couldn’t open the door to the restaurant. Literally, at least 4 people from the staff were laughing at us, watching us struggle with a rusty door handle. Then they weren’t any nicer when we got in, but we decided to stay and try the food anyway. And here comes the next problem… the waitress didn’t let us move the chairs, so that we could sit closer to each other. I understand the limited room, but it was definitely the waitress’ ATTITUDE that just shocked us. You just never see waiters this rude, absolutely incapable of handling the clients right. If they told us politely that we can’t move those chairs, we would’ve understood and tried to accommodate. Instead, we were treated with disrespect from the very first sentence we heard from the waitress. We were in such disbelief we just kept looking at each other with our eyes wide open. Other clients around felt sorry for us and wanted to help. We decided to leave and not give our money to people who disrespect their clients. On our way out another rude waiter yelled “adios!” in our direction, we were too shocked to respond. Apparently, the staff thinks they work at a sleezy bus station bar, not a nice little restaurant. If anyone wants to go to that place and order some Mexican food, do it. But never let yourself be disrespected - especially while you’re spending your...

I’ll start by saying Ive been here numerous times and the food has always been the highlight.

My coworkers and I visited this location a few days ago, and the staff left us extremely disappointed. I arrived first, gave the name of the reservation and was told it was cancelled 15 min prior. I called my coworker who made the reservation and he said he did no such thing. A few minutes later, he arrives, gives his name and is immediately taken to the table. Hmm, strange, but maybe they didn’t understand me. A few moments later, our other coworker arrives and tells us he actually arrived before I did and was told that there wasn’t a reservation just like I was told. Hmm, less strange, seems more on purpose. We sit down, order and enjoy conversation. About 50 minutes go by and our main courses still haven’t arrived, plus we noticed everyone that arrived after us was already eating. I signal for the waiter and am met with an attitude and the waiter says “it’s only been 15 minutes!”. Hmm, it’s definitely on purpose. Once we finish, we go to pay and are ignored for the people behind us, letting them pay first. Highly disappointed with them, and they’ve lost a regular customer who frequently mentioned this restaurant to incoming coworkers and friends. I won’t have good things to say, anymore. And if you are wondering, yes...
