Decor nice, bland food, poor service. Odd seating, added charges-BEWARE: We recently dined at Noi and wanted to share my experience. The decor was quite nice, creating a pleasant ambiance. However, I must admit that I found the food to be just okay; it leaned towards the bland side. It's worth noting that my husband is Vietnamese, and I am Korean, and we both love Thai food and enjoy it often, so we tend to appreciate flavors that are authentically more aromatic and in the spicier side.
Unfortunately, the service at Noi was below subpar. Upon our arrival, they asked if we had a reservation, which struck us as odd since the restaurant was nearly empty at the time. Despite the abundance of unoccupied tables, they chose to seat us in an end corner of the restaurant that seemed reserved for bussing dishes, extra silverware, and water refills. It was disheartening to see that all the more desirable tables were left unoccupied, giving us the impression that they were not particularly concerned with providing a pleasant dining experience.
Furthermore, I encountered an issue where they added an extra item to our bill without our consent. After we had already paid by card, I realized this error. When I requested a refund, they offered to reimburse me in Czech crowns. This presented a problem since we were leaving Prague the next day, rendering the Czech currency useless for us. I asked if the transaction could be canceled and rerun, but they were unable to accommodate this request.
As a compromise, I asked if they could refund us in euros since we were heading to Austria next. To my disappointment, not only did they agree to this reluctantly, but they also refunded us an amount that was less than what we were owed.
I must say, I cannot recommend this place, especially if you reveal that you're visiting from outside the country. It's disheartening to see so many establishments attempt to deceive customers by adding extra items to their bills, and it was truly surprising after reading such positive reviews to experience...
Read moreI’ve heard a lot about this restaurant and finally had a chance to visit it however the experience wasn’t what I expected. Unfortunately yesterday’s evening was really more like a disappointment. 1.)the food: I love Thai food and it is my mission to find the best most authentic place in Czechia however NOI is not the place. The food was good but not really authentic. Overall verdict for presentation, structure and taste would be average and you can find better restaurants in Prague.
2.)the service: I understand the times has changed in hospitality during these crazy times and I like to support good restaurants by going into them and spending there but NOI I am sorry I am not sure I want to visit again. It was unpleasant experience and some of your staff seemed annoyed to take care of us. In place like this I really expect professionalism and brilliant service with special touch and after months of take away I am very grateful someone is taking care of me and serving me food and drinks. My friend was drinking gin&tonic with pomegranate and the rest of us your Merlot. The drink looked differently every time and time since order to delivery was longer and longer. When we politely asked about our order (1g&t and 1glass of wine) after 20min of waiting your staff just said “it is ordered at the bar” with annoyed face and did not even try to soften the situation and kept us waiting another 10min. The restaurant was less busy than when we had our dinner so we did not see a reason for this long waiting nor we were informed about one in some sort of apology or explanation when we asked. And we stopped asking after that and just decided to go somewhere else next time. Somewhere where you feel welcomed and the level of service is in alignment with prices, location and expectations and you feel like this is not just a one time thing but they want me to come again for that...
Read moreDELICIOUS!! We’ve wanted to have a quick Asian dinner and we visited Noi without reservation. This was no problem at all for the personnel, but we had to wait for a couple of minutes… well the wait was more than worth it !!
1/ some delicious cocktails, we’ve tried plenty of them: Noi (lychee - vodka - lime - mint: 10/10), Mojito (really good one: 10/10), Long Island ice tea, Bangkok … so drinks really really good! Also the home made ice tea was fab! 2/ the food: waaaaw. We started with some spring rolls, which were delicious. Afterwards we had 4 different dishes accompanied by rice/ noodles and also not a bad word to say about the dishes. Bless the kitchen queens & kings of Noi restaurant!! 3/ the service was impeccable! We had to wait quite some time for our drinks, but they told us that since it was fairly busy! Did not really bother us, since the quality of food and drinks & service was sooo good!
It was soo good, that the day after we ate there, we decided to celebrate our last evening in Prague @ Noi with some delicious cocktails and fingerfood!
Price: good and fair for the fresh and quality food/drinks.
Would recommend for...
