I used to live in Prague so when a friend suggested this place for our visit I looked at the prices and was hesitant...
After spending 5 days here (Morning, afternoon or evening) at random points before or after visiting other places I cannot recommend it enough.
Sure you can find cheaper drinks elsewhere, but with its prime location in old town, space, friendliness of staff, I'm more than happy to pay the price and honestly wherever you come from in the world, its cheaper than a pint where you live.
I've seen people complain that they do not accept Euro's as payment, this is true but this is the Czech republic, you wouldn't try to spend euro's in Canada or Mexico would you?
This place has a pool/dart room below that you can hire for a great price, a huge range of drinks and honestly really good food. You can listen to some live music on the main floor as you enjoy food and/or drinks or head upstairs in the evening for karaoke, even for someone like me who hates singing, the host gets everyone involved and I wish I attended that part before my final night.
The staff here are very multicultural so if you don't speak Czech, you'll probably be fine here! I'd just like to say thank you in particular to the doorman, the karaoke host and the two Swedish bar staff who filled our group with smiles on every occasion, I forgot how much I loved Prague so I will definitely be back...
Read moreI've had to knock a star off as a young barmaid was incredibly rude to me and our friends. She was walking around with shots and very arrogant upon being told "no thank you" waving her hand in the air, rolling her eyes, and even calling our friend a "pu*sy" because he didn't want to spend 300kr on one shot. That's over £10 a shot so not only was she rude, arrogant, and up herself but she was trying to take advantage. Truth be told, my brother told her to f-off because of how rude she was and you can imagine how that went down but thankfully we didn't get bullied out of there after she stormed off.
Enter the rest of the night - we went downstairs into the basement area and got involved in the kareoke. One chap running the bar alone all night and it was rammed but he did a fantastic job so tipped him what the bar maid was trying to rob us of. He deserved it. Had the best night with all 12 of us in here. Kareoke was spot on. Nothing but love and good vibes. No trouble at all. Everyone cheering each other on. 100% would come again and recommend this place, just a shame about the barmaid. Needs to check herself really and got a dose of reality that not all men can be taken advantage of or spoken...

The live bands here are fantastic, really bringing that authentic Irish vibe to the heart of Prague. And if you're a fan of karaoke, you're in for a treat! The karaoke nights are a blast, with a fun crowd and a great selection of songs. It's impossible not to get up and sing along!
For sports fans, this pub is perfect. There are plenty of big screens showing all the major games, so you won't miss a moment of the action. Whether you're here for football, rugby, or any other sport, they've got you covered.
The staff is friendly and attentive, making sure your pint is always full, and the Guinness is just as good as you'd get in Ireland. The food is also top-notch, with all the classic pub grub you'd expect.
If you're looking for a place with a great vibe, awesome music, and a spot to catch the game, Nellys is the place to be. I can't...
