Bakery DAM — Restaurant in Amsterdam

I got the DAM special and it was very delicious and the chicken is grilled sliced chicken not thigh which is a huge plus for me.

However, I’m unable to give 5 stars due to a serious concern. Unfortunately, I experienced food poisoning after eating here. I’m confident this was the source, as I had only eaten a light breakfast earlier that day. It’s disappointing, because the food itself was genuinely good.

As someone who has worked with the Food Standards Agency (FSA) in the UK, I understand that food safety often comes down to proper hygiene practices. Potential issues such as unwashed hands (especially after using the restroom), dirty cloths used repeatedly without disinfectant, or wiping hands on aprons or towels hanging on trousers between preparing meals, Not regularly cleaning fridges, storage shelves, or equipment, Long fingernails, jewellery, or open wounds not covered while cooking can all contribute to contamination. I’m not sure if this was the cause of contamination but I’m just listing what could potentially have been the cause based on some of the things I saw.

I really hate leaving bad reviews but this is a case where I felt I had to share this feedback in the hope that management takes it constructively. Addressing these concerns could go a long way in preventing others from falling ill and in maintaining the great taste your kitchen...

Horrible, worst place I have ever gotten food from, we ordered the bram special and he gave us a sandwich with just chicken, lettuce, and shitty cheese, it wasn’t until I left that I realized and when I went back to ask him about it, then he decided to tell me that the rest of ingredients ran out and he refused to replace it with something else or give me a discount after charging me full price for something that I did not order. I was looking for someone to eat and passed this place and it caught my eye. Checked out the reviews, which were mostly positive and decided to give it a try. I got a chicken sandwich, which had grilled chicken that had been cut into pieces and cooked in something. It had salad on the sandwich and the bread was a nice baguette that was freshly baked.
