I stumbled on the Press Club in April 2022, and, I’ll admit, I was a bit intimidated at first by the historic building, the heavy green door, and the imposing plaque reading “Friends of Journalism Welcome”. But when I stepped inside, I immediately fell in love with the place.
I was greeted warmly, and I grabbed a drink to sit in the overstuffed leather seats by the fireplace.
When I learned that anyone can be a member, I joined, and now I’m there on a weekly basis for great drinks and even better conversations in an environment that prizes meaningful dialogue.
This place is a gem, in Denver and in the USA. You don’t have to be a member to stop in, have a cold one, and maybe learn something new....

I received a 1 line reply from the Executive Director asking "What is it you are looking for?" - I replied explaining I already filled out the form, what do they need me to clarify... The response received was "You know we are in Denver Colorado?"...
This does not seem like a welcoming place ready to host my guests and provide an exceptional experience as I was hoping. I have emailed many places out of state to organize events and this was by far the most unprofessional response I've ever gotten. Needless to say, we'll be hosting our event (and future events)...

Then walk into the room behind the bar that is full of caricatures of great newsworthy people. The ghosts of Presidents past who use to come and visit roll through my mind when I stare at the wall of Presidential Portraits. It’s open to the public for a few visits but they’d love for you to join and become a member, which I did. A very friendly and open place for an adult...
