Iâve been coming to Lily Rose for almost a year now and Saturday night was my last time EVER coming here! The waitress Audra that was assigned to our table was so disrespectful, argumentative and violent. From the time we sat down until the time we left she was no where to be found. I tried to give my drink order for the table of four but she only took the order for 2 of us and proceeded to walk away very fast. As my mom drank her lemon drop a piece of hair ended up in her mouth. We called Audra over and she was very argumentative about it saying that no one at the bar has this color hair but itâs dark so no one could tell what color it was. And she offered to have the bartender make another one but my mom declined. Once it was time to leave and we wanted the check we waited for at least 40 minutes for her to come. It was ridiculous. But once she did come, there was only 4 of us drinking but she added gratuity to the check. Had all of us been drinking I could have understood or more than 6 of us I could have seen why it was added but whatever. She went back and forth with me about it eventually took it off. But when she brought the updated check back she THREW IT ON THE TABLE. And once she walked away with an attitude I went to the host to complain and wanted to speak to the manager. Thereâs no reason why should think itâs okay to treat someone like this. The manager never came and we were ready to go so we paid the bill and left. As I walked to the elevator I asked the host what our waitressâ name is and she told me and then Audra heard me ask for her name and came out and yelled at me saying she didnât throw anything but we all saw her throw it at the table. Even while I we were trying to leave she wanted to go back and forth with me again. I just walked away. And when I went to the lobby I complained again thinking the manager would be there but it was just security and they took my number down but I knew no one would ever call me. Iâll...

As a party of 6 with reservations at 7pm, the place wasnât packed. The hostess wasnât near the front and there was a lack of direction as to where to sit. There were 2-3 other parties. The turnaround of getting orders and drinks was slow and got even slower as it became busier.
The menu that we were given doesnât match the menu online. The waitress specifically said to not look at the online menu because itâs inaccurate. I chose this location mainly because of its menu online, so it was disappointing to see none of the drinks I was looking forward to, not to mention all of them were a minimum $17 each (compared to the online menu minimum $11-12 depending on the spirit). They have a full bar, so if you had a preferred drink, you could order that. Out of the various drinks we ordered, Iâd recommend the 24 carrot drink because it was delicious and tasted like carrot cake.
A small bowl of fries and ketchup was $12. A plate of hummus with vegetables and a handful of small slices of pita was $14. The appetizers werenât anything spectacular and could be found in your local grocery store to-go aisle.
The vibe was cool, but the fortune teller machine and the pin ball machine were both broken. The magnetic scrabble near the bathrooms had tiles that lacked magnets to properly play. There was a chalk board but no chalk. Music was loud enough to give one of my friends a migraine and none of the songs were recognizable. It looked like there were musicians setting up, but I didnât stay long enough to see if they were playing. The womenâs bathroom was almost out of soap and one toilet (out of two) was filled to the brim with bloody...
Read moreThis place is in the basement of the Wayfarer Hotel on flower downtown.
Teahouse by day and 7pm onward a âspeakeasyâđ. Itâs a bar people. Itâs a thematic bar honoring Maud Stevens Wagner, who was an American circus performer. She was the first known female tattoo artist in the United States. Upon arrival the host said we had the table for 90 minutes. Although we stayed later and it wasnât packed and we never saw her again.
The plastic binders with the food and drink menu are meant to represent a modern tattoo parlor when you flip through a tattoo artist portfolio. The house drink list has ridiculous names, but also classic drinks in the back.
Drinks were around 20.00 and we got some tacos too. The food was typical bar food, both overpriced for what it is.
The place smells of sugar or cotton candyđ€ą Itâs quite overpowering. The decor it setup with little clusters of Victorian furniture to create a private cozy vibe. Dimly lit Glass chandeliers overhead, a Zoltar game and a pinball machine, you get the picture.
A band started to set up in the corner around 8:30 and played around 9:45. The singer had a great voice, but she was barely heard over the drummer, keyboardist and the guitarist. They all seemed to be trying to play the loudest to be be heard over each other, rather than playing together. Good musicians, but everyone seemed to be fighting to be in the spot light. It was too bad.
The crowd was very eclectic. Seems like a tourist spot honestly. Itâs trying way to hard and seemed like a Disney themed attraction ride/ bar if that makes sense. Lots of great places in LA, my advice is...
