Positives first: really impressed with how fast the line went, immediately after a sold out MSG show. I arrived with 15 minutes to catch my train and the line was out the door. Made my train with time to spare.
Unfortunately, the negatives far outweigh the positives! I paid $15 for 2 slices, a few garlic knots, and a bottle of coke. Not too shabby, especially considering the limited options so late at night.
The quality absolutely did not match the price though. By far the most dry and card board like slice Iâve had âfresh.â Quite literally could not chew through some of the crust and threw away a good portion of my pizza.
The cheese was super tough, rubbery, and unpleasant.
The garlic knots were so oversaturated with spicy garlic, and they DESPERATELY needed some salt, cheese, just anything to balance out the completely overwhelming amount of spicy raw garlic. Some of them were burnt as well, to the point I couldnât chew through them. Couldnât finish these either.
I definitely wouldâve returned the food for a refund if I didnât have a train to catch. It was just so, so bad.
Most importantly, every single employee I interacted with excessively stared at my chest. Some blatantly flirted with me as well when I clearly wasnât interested. Made me feel very uncomfortable simply trying to order some pizza in my concert outfit.
Definitely would not return to this spot unless I had no other options and was desperate. Disappointed to have...
Read moreI love this place as Iâve been coming here for years. I remember it as far back as when it was where Duane Reade is now. The girls that sold beer used to know me by name. After they close for construction, itâs changed. And of course it has but what pissed me off is this. When you pay for your beer with a card, it takes a long time for the tip screen to come on. I only realize that when I went to pay and it was asking for a tip when I didnât swipe my card yet. Anyway, I clicked skipped and waited for the screen to clear to pay. I like to give my tip in cash so thatâs what I did. After I swiped my card, I wanted to wait for the tip screen to come on and the lady that sells the beer said, âdonât worry, you can go.â But the tip screen hadnât come on yet and there was someone right behind me. Knowing this, I stepped to the side and waited. After a good 30-45 secs, the tip screen for MY CARD came on. I asked the guy to press skip for me and left. Hereâs my thing, people can either be pressing it without realizing that they didnât swipe yet or the people that sell the beer can be pressing it themselves. Iâm not trying to say they are doing it, but itâs a possibility. I donât trust people to press skip for me, so please fix it. Also, please tip the ladies serving the beer. I have nothing against them, but she should at least let people know to wait until the tip screen comes in. Might get her a bigger tip, I know...
Read moreThe pizza was great however my issue is with its workers behind the counter. I had an emergency phone call as I was sitting down and proceeded back to the counter to ask for a paper bag to take my slice to go. Two gentleman standing right next to each other, the man I asked literally turned and walked away and his buddy standing right next to him just stared at me, did not say a word and then walked away. With no acknowledgement what so ever I asked the cashier for a bag and he then pointed back to the gentleman who didnât say a word. That man then raised his voice in a rude manner telling me to wait saying they have a lot of customers (which they did not at the time which was 10:30am) Donât know why he tried to be a tough guy and raised his voice as nobody did not acknowledge me the first time I asked, maybe he was offended I asked again? Donât know why he made it a big deal when he could have just gave me a paper bag which wouldnât take less than 3 seconds and I would have been on my way, I did not ask him to do it for me, but needless to say I wonât be going back here and Iâm always in and out of Penn Station. Mind you this was all over...
