When I placed my order the brunette that took it was not all smiles as some have suggested, it was hard to hear and she wasn't trying to give full answers, for example, Q: "do you all have kids food/meals for my 2 little ones?" A "we can ring up a plain hot dog or grilled cheese" Q "is it the same $ as the adults?" A -annoyed she types in the computer and did give the answer I was hoping for. No big deal, people have bad days, after ordering $70 worth of food for my family I went and joined our friends who had ordered seafood across the way. After they had there food for about 10-15 minutes I went back to find they were having "printer issues" and was given no ETA or apology. I joined my friends and family again and waited on the pager. After another 20+ minutes still nothing, when I went back there was a supervisor who was clearly working to straighten things out, kudos. She apologized to me finally for the wait and said my food was just waiting on hot dogs, I went off for 5 or 10 minutes to allow them room to work and when I returned the food was still not ready, they saw my frustration and quickly went to the window and packed my order. Things happen, but it shouldn't have taken that long for someone to realize how long I had been waiting on my order (over an hour at this point) and apologize, much less fail to offer any sort of reconciliation. To the food The brisket was quite dry but decent with barbecue sauce, the pulled pork was similar but more moist than the brisket actually, the Mac n cheese was pretty good all around, baked beans were great, the fries were the best in town possibly and the star of the show lol (I know) and the hot dog was great as well. It's also worth noting the manager somehow found me later in the JW and gave my kids a banana dessert on the house which was highly tasteful and went a long way to show she cared, but most of the evening had been very frustrating already. I'll definitely go back and give them another try, It seemed like this wasn't a normal occurrence and I'm sure they'll communicate better on any issues with customers...
Read moreFriday night 9/12/25 - I worked in the service industry for a decade so I get it, we have our days... But the level of rudeness from your blonde female staff member was gross and unacceptable. When closing out for my one drink I was charged $30… Ok. Mistakes happen, no big deal. But when I, without an attitude or problem let her know I’d only had one drink, she frustratedly YeLleD across the bar that she was just doing what the other bar tender told her to do, then angrily asks me what I had. My friend looked at me mouth open in disbelief at her rudeness in a bar full of people.. She then makes the correction and slaps the new tab down on the bar, annoyed, and lets me know the adjustments, again, as if me mentioning/not wanting to be charged $30 for one drink had had been her biggest inconvenience. Followed by eye rolling when I signed the check. It was weird. Someone having that little ability to regulate their unwarranted emotions has no business working in the front of the house or with the public at all. It’ll cost you in the end. The older male on staff had zero friendliness to spare either and also was the one who told the girl, Apparently, and incorrectly, to charge me $30 when I had a single drink. Bottom line, there are countless places to enjoy a drink on Riverstreet and in Savannah at large. Do yourself a favor and skip this spot where the drinks are sub par, greedily overpriced, and served by folks who despise being in the service industry. Hence they despise the public. Us. I will say there was a shorter African American girl working behind the bar who was notably kind and friendly. She may have been bussing? Give this...
Read moreI hate to be the one to write a bad review especially since I have previously worked in the restaurant business for 5 years but me and my friends went there last night on 08/04/2023 around 6:30pm-7:00pm for the first time and I tried ordering a drink and the lady behind the bar checked my ID and then stated she had to go check it which I completely understand as I am 23 and look young. She was gone for about 8-10 minutes and came back and she stated I am not in the system but still gave me my ID back. (I had gone to multiple places after this incident and had my ID scanned and was fine). I could not see where she went to go check my ID as she went around a corner of the restaurant but my boyfriend was coming to meet us and said he saw she was on the phone with someone so I'm not sure how she was checking my ID. My boyfriend stated she was by herself and no one was around her. This seemed very sketchy to me as my ID was real and she was on the phone talking to someone so I am hoping she did not do anything with my personal information. What was shocking is the lady seemed to be the manager of the place and she also had blonde hair. Everyone please be careful going here showing your ID especially with this woman it did not seem right at all what she did. I wish I...
