We stopped by this location for lunch in December 2021. The staff was happy to prepare a meatless and cheeseless wrap which I was thankful for. It was good and the family all liked their lunch too. The reason Jalapenos on Broughton is receiving a 2 star review is they messed our check up, we ended up paying for our lunch, and another table's lunch. We paid the check with our credit card and did not look at it closely. When they brought the receipt and card back to us we realized they had made a mistake. Our nearly $50 meal was only about $15. We did not jump up and leave right away (there was time to). We waited for the server to come back to the table. By that point he knew he had switched checks. I assume the other table balked at paying $50. Our server, Alejandro, tried to refund the money back to our card but was unable to. He seemed unsure it went through and said we'd see it back on the card in a few days. We did end up paying for our check and I presume the other table paid for their check too. Unfortunately, the refund never made it back to our card. When we got back home (about 13 hours drive) a couple of days later I called them. I don't remember his name, it wasn't Alejandro, but he tried to help process the refund. I ended up texting him photos of both receipts. He told me the system could not go back and refund the money because the year had changed. We ate there on December 30, 2021 and called about the refund a few days later, probably around January 2 or 3, 2022. Unable to refund the money to the card he offered to send us a gift card. I said that was fine, we love Savannah and hope to come back, so we accepted that offer. I texted him my address to send a gift card to but we never received one. We were back in Savannah this past December and plan on going in the future too. We won't be stopping by Jalapenos though. I know it's only around $15, but just the whole process was annoying. They kept telling us one thing and then it didn't happen. They'll refund to the card, can't refund because it's a new year, didn't send a gift card. It's been over a year now and it popped in my head for some reason and I decided to leave a review.

Quick Service with a Friendly Atmosphere, But Some Mixed Flavors We recently dined at Jalapeños Mexican Grill, and the experience was mostly positive. From the moment we walked in, the bartender greeted us warmly, setting a friendly tone. Our server was prompt, taking our order quickly, and our drinks, appetizers, and entrées arrived impressively fast. As for the food itself, it was a bit of a mixed bag. The chimichanga and refried beans were good but not remarkable; the chimichanga was tasty, though it didn’t stand out, and the beans, while flavorful, felt like they overwhelmed the plate. The enchiladas brought the heat—almost too spicy—and the rice on the side could use a bit more seasoning. The "House Guacamole" also left something to be desired. It tasted fine but didn’t feel homemade and, at $9 for a small 4-ounce portion, seemed overpriced for the quantity provided. However, the frozen strawberry margarita was excellent—refreshing, delicious, and generously sized. The end of our meal was a little rushed as the server brought the check without asking if we wanted dessert, even though we weren’t finished eating. That detail aside, Jalapeños is a decent spot for a quick and friendly meal with reasonably priced entrées, though appetizers are on the pricier side. Overall: A good choice for fast, friendly service, but expect some variability in flavors and portion balance.

This place is racist against black people. On January 1st, my 49th birthday: I walked from Hampton inn to your restaurant to get something to eat. My intentions was to sit down. I walked in and waited to be seated. An older guy walked by me while he was heading outside and asked if I was dining in: I said yes but wanted to seat outside: he said there was no room and the only seat available was at the bar. Instead of just telling me a wait time or to come back. I sat at the bar only for the bar tender to act dismissive to me. I gave my order and was only given the silverware. I was not offered any chills or sasa. He could very well see this. When the place cleared, there were several empty seats. I asked the female if I can seat near the window. She said yes at first. As I was sitting, she abruptly told me I had to go back to the bar as he had taken my Order. I told her I wanted to sit not sit at the bar. She continued to state I could not eat at a table as this was her section. I went to the bar and told the boy I did not want the food. I was upset. After a few minutes, I went back in and asked for a manager only to be told I could speak to one. At this point, I was not going to be eating! The older gentleman asked if I wanted to be seated, I said no: and he immediately became dismissive to me. I had words with the girl later. I feel that my pocket was being assessed by the boy and girl due to me being a Black American. I had no issue with any other place I visited after them getting seated and these places were just as busy. Saying you’re busy to a paying customer, does not allow you to not seat them properly. Your employees were very disrespectful in the most...

I ONLY PUT ONE STAR BECAUSE GOOGLE MADE ME BUT THIS PLACE DOESNT EVEN DESERVE THAT !!!!!!

BY FAR THE WORST EXPERIENCE IVE HAD IN A RESTAURANT PERIOD.

My friend and I decided to try this place on our first visit to Savanah…. BUT WE REGRET IT 100%

To begin, the whole area was just dirty looking. The floors were sticky to the point where I had to put my feet on top of the table legs. We decided to stay and give this place a chance. After looking at the menu my friend asked the waitress a question about the menu and she flat out told him she didn’t know. Never made an attempt to even ask/ help him. After not being helped we decided to start off with some nachos to share and some drinks. We got our nachos and the plate was burning hot !!!! With a pile of old brown lettuce on top. Automatically we knew they’ve had to put it in the microwave for more than 5 minutes. Not even half way into our drinks, A FLYING COCKROACH lands on me. I can’t even believe I’m writing this. My friend rushes to flick it off of me. When he does it flies over to the table next to us. After this horrible experience, I call the waitress over to let her know what just happened. I told her to call her manager because I didn’t plan on paying for nothing. She laughed in my face and called him over. I was hoping the manager would be more of a grown up but I was wrong. He came over and took our drinks in a very abruptly manner and said “ no problem “ after I tried to explain the horrible experience we just had. At no point, did they apologize. What is this world...
