My friend and I had lunch here yesterday around 3 pm, and the service was unbelievably disappointing for the price. If you are a person of color, do not eat here. For the majority of our visit to the restaurant, we were the only customers; there were 2 or 3 other customers — all Caucasian —who visited during the hour and a half we spent there. Despite the low traffic -- and being the only customers in the restaurant at our time of arrival -- our food took nearly 45 minutes to be served. This was not the case for any of the other customers -- it took me longer to get a water than them an entire meal. When trying to ask for more water, it took 2 or 3 minutes to get the attention of the staff who were talking to each other while one staff member handled the task of waiting our table, as well as taking orders at the register. Finally, we were able to get the attention of a cook, who was able to get us more water. Our server checked on us once throughout our entire visit, and I had to track them down to order a coffee as well as collect our bills -- our server did not ask how to separate the bill, sped off, and gave us one ticket. Finally, we asked for to-go boxes because the coffee had killed our appetites by the time we received our food, and unfortunately, we didn't notice until we were in our separate homes that the server had boxed our food wrong after volunteering to box our food for us. Bummer, didn't get to enjoy the $18 chicken sandwich I paid for. Staff was inconsiderate, worried more about personal conversation than the customers, inattentive, and sloppy. Will not...
Read moreThis is a great place to have delicious breakfast which is made with plenty of love and care. When I went here, I had a glass of water as well as a glass of chocolate milk as the MOST DELICIOUS steak and eggs that I’ve ever had!! They were so delicious, that I finished it in about 20 minutes! The menu has a front side and a back side, which is primarily made up of breakfast items, which, as mentioned above, are all made with love!! The French toast that my grandma had was also really toothsome! Just like with most (if not, all) places that I’ve been to, the waiter was quite friendly and made sure that we were satisfied with our dining experience! Right behind where I sat and under the ceiling of the floor we were on (ground floor), there is a replica of a bunch of factory workers on a big steel beam, conversing with each other! The vibe here is easy-going and quite relaxing as well! This place has sincere service with a big smile! Come eat at this place yourself, because you will not be...
Read moreThis was a bit of a mixed bag for me. Ate here 3 times (all breakfast) during a 6 night stay at the JW. First morning I ordered chicken and waffles off the menu. It was pretty good, but not what I'd call great. Small portion for the price. I actually didn't want more food, but it seemed like a meager portion. Second morning I got take out from the counter and went back to my room. This was horrible. They have prepped breakfast sandwiches in the glass cabinet. I chose the ham, egg, and cheese on a croissant. They microwave it in a box and off you go. Look at the photos to see how unappealing this was. Third time was a Friday morning so they had their breakfast buffet up and running (only Fri-Sun). It was really quite good. Lots of good choices of both hot and cold, and nicely presented. This was by far my best meal at Turbine. So, mixed bag, as I said. I definitely prefer eating in rather...
