Cake Couture Coffee and Dessert – More Like Cake Catastrophe

If I could give zero stars, I would. I walked into Cake Couture Coffee and Dessert expecting a delightful experience, but what I got was a caffeine-deprived nightmare. They were out of coffee. Yes, you read that right—a coffee shop with no coffee. No drip, no decaf, no cold brew. The only thing they had was espresso, which is like a burger joint saying, “Sorry, no beef, but we have a single hot dog.”

Desperate for some form of caffeine, I ordered an Americano. Big mistake. It was cold, flavorless, and might as well have been water that thought about coffee once. To make matters worse, they had no milk. No cream. No dairy or non-dairy options whatsoever. When I asked for a receipt, the guy behind the counter smugly replied, “Nope!”—as if that was an acceptable response in a business transaction.

Thinking maybe a hot chocolate would redeem my visit, I ordered one. Another disaster. It tasted like lukewarm water with a vague memory of chocolate. Honestly, I’ve had better flavor from a melted ice cube.

This place is a joke. If you’re looking for good coffee, or any coffee at all, save yourself the disappointment and go literally anywhere else.

I am definitely not one to leave a negative review for a business. But I am beyond shocked at how horrible the customer service here is and how rudely I was treated by the boy making our coffee on November 6th, 2024 around 3 pm. I ordered an iced coffee, which he made hot. I explained that I ordered it iced, he ARGUED that I did not. After again saying I did order it iced and asking for it to be made iced he finally took my hot cup of coffee (after making snarky comments) and poured the hot coffee over ice which then just melted the ice, since that’s obviously not how an iced coffee is correctly made, though he insisted it was. The $7.73 coffee was disgusting and watered down and the extremely rude and disrespectful attitude from the coffee boy was beyond unnecessary. I would not recommend spending a penny here if this is the type of customer service given by the employee and accepted by management. I have never received such horrible customer service. Whatever happened to being kind to customers? Or just being...

Delicious food if not sometimes a little heavy with the richness. Nice selection of baked goods and all very very pretty and enticing. Service was fast and friendly but it is a very small shop(location w/out ice cream) with no indoor seating. Had the salted caramel cheesecake and the mango passion fruit cheesecake. Each piece of cheesecake filling was super delicious and creamy. The mango passion fruit topped piece was topped with a sort of gelee that was the best tasting fruit dessert I have ever had....but the topping on the caramel was bordering too rich to eat. I could have scraped off half the caramel and not needed anymore. While delicious it was almost overpowering. Portion sizes were very small and the price was most of the reason for the 4 stars 😔. Worth a visit but a mixed bag overall...
