🤝 service & hospitality: (30%) 2,5/5 The receptionists are fine but the servants are quite arrogant and not trained in dinner etiquettes. Without asking —or even talking one lady removed the bread plates while we were still eating it with the bread in our hand… very odd! Male waiter won’t go the extra mile to ask for a pasta without cheese and bluntly decides for you to take plain pasta with a cold ratatouille on the side. When asking to heat up the ratatouille he says it suppose to be cold but we had to insist on warming it up.
Note: Before making the reservation I checked the menu for vegan dishes and it seemed there was however when at the restaurant itself the menu was slightly different.
Also we had to get up to the waiters to ask for a bill as they refused to make eye contact and pretend to be very busy on their screens….
🍽️ Food quality & presentation: (30%) 2.8/5 Presentation is very beautiful with the decorated plates. It’s correct. However the taste is varying between alright to blunt especially for the price you pay and expectations you’d have for a place like this. The Milanese was decent. My plain pasta was hard and quite cold. The ratatouille was too sweet and cold, we had to insist on heating it up. The drinks are pricey, but tastes good. Wine glasses were more expensive than cocktails. The amount of offered beverages was large! 👍🏼
💰Price-quality ratio: (10%) 3.8/5 It’s pricey but worth the location, not worth the waiter service unfortunately but if they could positively manage that it’d be a very pleasent and romantic place to dine. It’s an aesthetic pleasing place but you have to find it worth it to spend much money for average food. The menu isn’t very special and the staff doesn’t even want to try to make an exception for you in case you have dietary restrictions. Keep this in mind!
🔊 Acoustics: 3.8/5 Music wasn’t on until around 20 o’clock. Eventually a live musician was playing guitar and singing while walking past the people dining in the restaurant, this was very pleasant. Later when a playlist turned on with more volume it was harder to hear your companion speak unfortunately. Note that tables are very close to each other and it’s easy to overhear the conversation even 2 tables next to you. There isn’t much privacy at your table.
🧼 Hygiene and cleanliness: (20%) 4/5 Haven’t checked the bathroom but the tables, chairs, staff were off good hygiene.
🪴Ambiance and decor: 4.5/5 Aesthetically pleasing but too many tables for comfort. Too close to each other. It has a nice view of the Eiffel Tower if you’re faced in the right direction. The restaurant has a white beige with slight brown, orange tones, the plates have a colorful pattern. You can even buy their plates at the reception.
🌟 Amenities and special futures: 4.8/5 Beautiful with the Eiffel Tower as your background. Their nice plates are for sale. You have to be checked in by a receptionist downstairs before you’re able to go up, and take photos of the scenery: this should thin out the tourists that only come to the place to disturb the view for the customers and take their selfies… The restaurant also has a bar in the center.
📍Location & Convenience: 4.8/5 Welcoming inside the building, going down the staircase you’re checked in by a host: she will sent you up to the elevator. It can be a bit crowded during all those time slots, only 4 people or max 350kg can go inside the tiny elevator to bring you to the restaurant. You can be seated indoor or outdoor on a heated patio. There are different areas. It’s not very convenient or accessible by people in a wheelchair as you have to take many levels through entering the building and even in the restaurant. But it’s possible ♿️🛗!

Read morePlease beware!! DO NOT ORDER THE LOBSTER! It's a trick!!
My husband and I had dinner there on a Saturday night. I generally like to give all restaurants the benefit of the doubt and I don't usually leave negative comments, but we were very much mislead when ordering food and were charged for 12 portions of the Lobster Pasta - yes 12 (for the 2 of us)!! The waitress recommend the Lobster Pasta, which sounded delicious. She specifically pointed to the menu where it clearly listed that one portion of the dish was 100 grams of lobster, and she recommended getting two. She specifically said "200 grams would be a very good!" her words exacly. The 100 gram portion was €42 so I said yes. Also ordered an appetizer and a side salad and a bottle of champagne. We were presented with a beautiful dish with plenty of past and lobster. Little did we know, she had brought us 1200 grams of lobster and proceeded to charge us €504 just for the lobster! Who can even eat 12 portions!?! Unfortunately we didn't pay attention to the bill (yes that was our mistake) paid (even gave a nice tip) and went to our next destination. A couple of days later, when we realized we were over charges we contacted the restaurant and they said that is what we had ordered! 12 portions of lobster! Really?? If they had said that the two portions cost €252 each it would not be as ridiculous as telling us we had ordered 12 portions of lobster!! We didn't dispute the whole bill even (even the tip that we had put based on a percentage of the bill) my husband asked that they refund the extra 10 portions of the lobster pasta! Their answer was NO! Reading other comments, it seems that they do this often, other people have had the same experience. We even pointed that out to the manement, but they didn't seem to care. It's their way of taking advantage of people who take their word and recommendations! They are sticking to their story and will not refund us, basically stealing from people who take their staff recommendations.
Do not take recommendations other than ordering exactly what is on the menu. Our €84 entree ended up costing €504 and more than 10 portions went to waste!! Check your bill, make sure they are not taking advantage of you. Really ruined the experience, probably going to be blacklisted for writing this review, but I think it's important to warn others. For such a busy place and such an upscale restaurant group, it was absolutely unexpected to have such an...
Read moreMy boyfriend and I decided to visit Gigi on the 16th of February for our last meal in Paris, having heard so many great reviews about it. Unfortunately, we left wishing we had chosen a cozy little cafe instead. We were seated inside with a stunning view of the Eiffel Tower, which initially set a lovely tone for the evening. However, things quickly took a turn for the worse.
After ordering our drinks and starters, we specifically asked the waiter if our chosen starter would come with bread, which they confirmed. Yet, after what felt like an eternity of waiting around with just cheese and table water in front of us, we had to chase down the waiter for the rest of our starters. My boyfriend's drink eventually arrived, but mine was nowhere to be seen. I waited a bit longer, but ultimately had to ask for my drink, which felt frustrating. Meanwhile, the tables next to us were being attended to frequently, which left us feeling neglected. It was hard not to notice that the service we received seemed to diminish because of our age and the fact that we didn’t appear as affluent as some of the other diners.
When our mains finally arrived, we were met with the same lack of attention. Not once did anyone come by to check if we were enjoying our meal or if we needed anything else. At that point, our patience was wearing thin, and we just wanted to leave. We waited an agonizingly long time to get the attention of a waiter to ask for the bill, while the tables around us were promptly served. In fact, the table to our right, dressed in high-end outfits and accessories, received their bill within mere seconds of asking. It was infuriating to feel so undervalued and unworthy of being in such a well known restaurant.
After we settled our bill and made our way to the reception to collect our coats, the waiter approached us and claimed we had underpaid, insisting that we needed to pay more due to an error on his part. Not wanting to cause any trouble, we reluctantly complied and paid the additional amount.
As we stood there, we noticed a couple in front of us who had their coats put on for them by the attendant. However, when we handed over our tickets for our coats, we were simply given them without any assistance. It felt quite disheartening and was the cherry on top. Overall, our experience at Gigi was incredibly disappointing, and it overshadowed what should have been a memorable final meal in Paris. Would not recommend this...
