From the moment I stepped into Sea La Vie on First Street in Coronado, I knew I had found something truly special. This is not just a decor shop — it’s a coastal-chic sanctuary filled with artful treasures, beautiful textiles, ceramics, and curated pieces that radiate warmth and personality.
The shop itself: Every corner felt intentional and full of heart. I found gifts, hostess pieces, and home accents I hadn’t even known I was hunting for. The selection strikes an amazing balance between coastal flair and timeless elegance. Locally made items are thoughtfully displayed alongside treasures sourced from further afield. The ambiance is relaxed but refined, with just enough inspiration to make you linger and explore. But what truly elevates the experience is Shannon, the owner. Shannon greeted me with a genuine smile and took the time to ask about what I was looking for. She offered suggestions (never pushy), shared stories behind certain pieces, and helped me narrow down a few difficult choices. Her passion for design and community is so obvious — she treats each shopper like an old friend. Her knowledge, kindness, and attentiveness set Sea La Vie apart from any other boutique in the area.
I left with a beautiful woven throw, a unique ceramic bowl, and a few smaller tokens I couldn’t resist — all carefully gift wrapped with a personal touch from Shannon. I often return just for the refreshing feeling I get when walking through the door.
If you’re in Coronado and looking for coastal-inspired décor, meaningful gifts, or simply a place to be inspired, Sea La Vie is a must-visit. And if you’re lucky enough to meet Shannon, you’ll quickly see why this shop has that magical, welcoming feeling. I can’t recommend it...
Read moreSea La Vie is a totally charming local Coronado family business. This one-off shop is chock full of coastal decor and nautical knick-knacks. Many of the items are locally-made and exclusive to the store, and the staff can tell you the story behind every treasure. I was super lucky to have the owner, Nicole Wing, help me choose a hostess gift. Nicole grew up in Coronado, and has returned to her hometown after living all over the world with her Navy family. Her passion for European ceramics and entertaining is matched by her flawless eye for beach house decor. (The store is a JEWEL BOX, and Nicole's hand is behind every display!) I purchased a GORGEOUS locally-made charcuterie board that resembles the Pacific Ocean, as well as some super-cute spreaders and honey made from hyper-local...
