We stumbled upon XL Bistro by chance yesterday morning—and it turned out to be one of the most memorable dining experiences we had in Prague. We had initially gone next door to Café Imperial just for a morning coffee, but they were only serving full breakfast until 10:30am. So we decided to step into XL Bistro instead-and we’re so glad we did. We ordered a coffee and two open-faced sandwiches (one with egg, and one with ham, cheese, and pickles), since we were planning on having a heavy lunch later. The ham and cheese sandwich absolutely blew us away—it was on another level. The combination of silky cheese, subtle mustard, high-quality ham, and just a few perfectly placed pickles was perfection. On top of that, the staff were genuinely kind and attentive. It’s one of those places we could just feel is going to get more and more popular. We’re so glad we got to visit when we did. 여기 쇼케이스 안에 든 햄치즈 샌드위치 너무 맛있었어요. 아침이라서 많이 못 시켰는데 기회 되면 여러 메뉴 두루두루 먹어보고 싶은 곳이에요. 직원들도 친절하고 공간도 깔끔하고 좋습니다. 강추해요!

This place was amazing! I love a Turkish breakfast, and their take on it was incredible… the crusty, garlicky bread was a 100/10. Everything I ate was delicious, well priced and beautifully presented! I can also recommend the Langosh with pulled beef ribs. It was very, very good. I actually spent several hours here prepping for university meetings and, in that time, ordered three meals and countless coffees. Both the oat latte and the americanos were delicious, and the service was genuinely kind and attentive. The ambiance is very relaxing, with floor-to-ceiling windows that let in beautiful natural light. It’s my 12th time in Prague, and while I have my go-to breakfast and coffee spots in the part of town where I usually stay — this spot was such a great addition to my list, and I’ll definitely be happy to return.

We stopped by for breakfast but arrived a little late, so it was already lunchtime. We ordered the apple pie pancakes and the chicken Caesar salad — both were absolutely delicious. The staff were wonderfully accommodating; when our salad was served with pork bacon, they kindly remade it without hesitation once we explained we don’t eat pork. The lady who served us was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even more pleasant. Highly recommended for both the food and the service!

We stopped by for breakfast but arrived a little late, so it was already lunchtime. We ordered the apple pie pancakes and the chicken Caesar salad — both were absolutely delicious. The staff were wonderfully accommodating; when our salad was served with pork bacon, they kindly remade it without hesitation once we explained we don’t eat pork. The lady who served us was warm and attentive, making the whole experience even more pleasant. Highly recommended for both the food and the service!

Accidentally found this gem on our first night in Prague as it was just around the corner from our hotel.

We were welcomed in despite it being late in the evening, the food menu was simple but stunning. The prices were very reasonable and despite claiming his English was not particularly good, our server was incredibly helpful and friendly and managed to explain everything on the menu to us.

Two of us had the duck dumplings and two had the pork tenderloin, both were fantastic and the carrot cake afterwards was incredible too.

100% recommend XL and would happily go again when we’re next...
