Le Hung - fresh asian food — Restaurant in Berlin

We ate here for lunch and while the food was ok, the service was so bad it made us leave this review.

The way the restaurant is set up is you place your order and then the staff brings out your food when it’s ready. There’s a self-service area to get your utensils, napkins and hot sauce. We collected ours and sat down. We noticed the table had a few spots of something on it but we didn’t ask to have it cleaned, we just handled it ourselves. The utensils come wrapped in napkins so we used them to clean the table. But then we needed to replace them to have some to use during our meal. For the record, there were 2 of us dining and we picked up 5 napkins.

This is where the problem occurred. The staff member who delivered our food picked up the paper napkins from our table and handed us back 2. He then made a motion with his fingers that I took as meaning they’re expensive. He returned the napkins he took to the self serve cart where I guess someone else would unknowingly pick up napkins that were now handled by myself and the staff.

We’ve never had this happen in any other restaurant and considered it to be extremely rude. We felt like we were children being reprimanded. If they want to control the number of napkins customers use then they shouldn’t be on a self serve cart. Keep them behind the counter. Also, I’m concerned over the decision to put the napkins back for someone else to use. The staff member didn’t know if we had used them for anything yet. He didn’t even ask us. He just took them. I Also believe it’s a health risk to take something from one customer and give it to another without their knowledge.

Just had a banging meal at this little Asian place while on my trip to Berlin. It's kinda tucked away but totally worth finding! Don't let the size fool you, this place is cozy and perfect for catching up with friends over some amazing food.

The staff were super helpful, especially the dude at the counter. They even have menus in English, which saved me from butchering any pronunciations!

We shared a bunch of stuff and everything was delicious. The coconut chicken peanut curry was the bomb - creamy, flavorful, and the chicken was cooked perfectly. Definitely recommend that one! The pad Thai was great too, but needed a little more heat for my taste. No worries though, they had chili sauce on the table to spice things up.

And let's not forget the pepper chicken with rice! It was also really good, packed with flavor. Prices were super reasonable, which is always a win in my book.

Overall, Le Hung is a total winner. Delicious food, friendly staff, and easy on the wallet? Sign me up! I'll definitely be back to try more stuff...

Ich wollte hier mal mein Persönliches Gefühl und meine eigene Erfahrung über das Geschäft LE HUNG am Alexanderplatz preisgeben. Man muss es ja immer wieder selber feststellen das der Geräuschpegel in Imbissen recht hoch und es deutlich hecktisch zu geht und man immer wieder diesen Standard Einheitsbrei angeboten bekommt. Aber ganz anders war es im LE HUNG die Stimmung und die Atmosphäre war super entspannt man kann es schon als wohlfühl Atmosphäre bezeichnen. Der Laden ist super modern eingerichtet ganz anders wie man das so kennt dieser 0815 Asia Style mit einer einarmigen Katze. Und ich hebe das Geschäft jetzt schon über alle asiatischen schnell Imbisse die ich kenne und ich komm jetzt erst auf das Essen zu sprechen da wo sich der Laden noch viel deutlicher absetzt von der Konkurrenz. In jedem Gericht steckt das Feingefühl und der Geschmack des Chefs der sich viel Gedanken um jede Kleinigkeit in seinem essen macht er nimmt sich auch positiven sowie negativen Feedback an und seine Gerichte zu optimieren und zu verbessern. Und er legt noch eine Schippe oben rauf in dem er seinen Kunden seine selbst gemacht leckeren Soßen anbietet jede davon ist eine Versuchung wert die Soßen sind einzigartig und verdammt lecker. Ich selbst habe noch nie so lecker asiatisch gegessen wie bei ihm einfach nur geil besser kann man es nicht ausdrücken danke für das Erlebnis.

Mein Fazit: der Geschäftsführer und sein Personal von LE HUNG sind super Menschen mit einem tollen Charakter die ganz individuell auf jeden Kunden eingehen und ihm vorschlagen was er essen könnte. Preis leitungs Verhältnis ist super wenn er nicht sogar noch ein Stück teurer sein könnte für das leckere Essen was er da anbietet aber das ist mein Empfinden. Was mir auch persönlichen super gefällt ist das der Chef immer greifbar ist das gibt mir persönlich ein wohlbefindliches gefühl. Schluss endlich ist der Laden der Hammer und sehr empfehlenswert und ich würde ihn immer wieder besuchen wenn ich in der Nähe sieht man sich danke für die leckeren Speisen und das...
