We sat down and had to find menus for ourselves, but eventually a server did come to take our drink order after about 10 minutes. We ordered drinks and when those were brought out by a young male server we ordered our food from him. We sat for around 25 minutes and noticed other tables who had sat after us had gotten their food but we hadn’t got ours. We also noticed a table behind us where they forgot one plate of food for the table. This had us worried, so we decided to read the reviews, and one of the first negative reviews we saw was saying how their food was forgotten and it took over an hour to get their food. We were appalled by this review and also now worried our food order also hasn’t been submitted. At this point it had been 30 minutes since we ordered. We flagged a server down, and asked where our food was. She informed us no order had been put through stating, “sometimes our systems don’t work.” This is hard to believe as we personally witnessed another table having an error with their order where 2 people received their food but 1 person did not, plus read a very recent negative review. If it is the systems having an error, I think a system upgrade is in place. We paid for our drinks and left, hungry and disappointed. Would not...

Myself and 2 colleagues visited the bar, we managed to get a table outside, the young lady that first served us was friendly and we were served quickly ( the place wasn't massively busy), unfortunately our first server finished her shift, everything went down hill rapidly after that, we ordered food, 3 fish and chips, and 3 drinks, drinks took 20 minutes fish over an hour, we asked where the food was, the girl that we asked was a little off to say the least and made excuses saying all the staff were new and the waitress forgot to put the order in (taking the orders is a basic requirement I think and difficult to get wrong) food came, we ordered more drinks, food was okayish, by the time we finished still no drinks so we went inside, asked for our drinks and to pay the bill, waitress still not friendly, I politely expressed our thoughts about the slow service to which the waitress turned to me and said, your on vacation so chill, they blamed the barman for slow service so I asked if he also made the food as that was slower. A few mumbling from the waitress and we left, never to return, disgraceful service...

I don’t know what is going on with the waiter staff but it seems to me that everyone working here is very unhappy. We asked a passing waiter if we were to seat ourselves and he said yes without pausing in his steps. We sat in the back room and despite that section’s waiter coming in five times, he evidently couldn’t see us. I don’t know of any other reason why you’d ignore a table of four people with no food or drinks. They were busy but this waiter wasn’t SO busy he couldn’t take orders and clear tables around us? We were a family of four that came in at 1930, I got our OWN drinks at the bar 25 minutes later and left after the waiter finally found the time to see if we had menus (I got up and got them myself). At least he had the presence of mind (and time) to say goodbye as we left. This place has atmosphere but I assume that if you aren’t a regular you will be treated as much less. My advice (I am a bartender & waiter by trade) is to visit The Black Dog around the corner. We are there now and having a good meal with a kind and...

I’ve visited O’reillys Amsterdam twice now and the experience has been great and consistent. There is a great atmosphere and vibe. The personnel is friendly, proactive and helpful. The food food is tasty and delicious and the drinks are nice as well. During my first visit I had the Beef n' Guinness Stew. The beef, shallots and carrots were nice and soft. The mash was creamy and tasty as. It was nice to have a some brown bread with Irish butter to scoop up everything from my plate. For dessert they make a nice toffee apple pie with cream or custard, which is also tasty and not overly sweet. For my 2nd visit I had the traditional Fish & Chips. The golden fried north sea cod was crispy on the outside and perfectly cooked on the inside. The chips were crispy, the mushy peas were soft and the tartare sauce complemented the dish. Definitely recommended to enjoy some good food and drinks here with your friends and/or family!

After arriving in Amsterdam after not having been there for 26 years, I roamed the city, reliving memories and finally exhausting myself to the point where I couldn't make one more decision that day. This is when I found myself at O'Reilly's. I was alone and feeling awkward, when one of the waitresses caught my eye and smiled at me. I walked over and sat down, feeling so welcomed. I sat outside, watching people going by, talking with the folks next to me, admiring their food. The atmosphere was so cozy and welcoming. The food (fish and chips) was absolutely delicious. I had two drinks and sat, happy and in love with Amsterdam again. I wish I knew the waitresses name... She was wonderful. I'll be back again each time I'm in Amsterdam. It's a new tradition. 5/5

O'Reilly's Irish Pub is a great place to grab a few pints (they have Kilkenny on tap, as well as other Irish favorites like Guinness) and enjoy life slowing down for a bit. There is plenty of outdoor seating, as well as lots of seating inside. We stopped in for a few pints during the day, and then were back for dinner with our group of 6. We were seated right away, which was great. Drinks came out quickly and we ordered dinner, which also came pretty quick. Service could have checked back a bit more often - but we were able to ask others for help, which turned out just fine. The food was very good - lots to choose from; and drinks were just about perfect (also, lots to choose from). If we're back in Amsterdam again, we'll be back for sure.
